Re: Michael Flynn after win at Notts County

The release clause is only really relevant if there is only one club in for him. The likelihood is that there’ll be a few which would trigger a bidding war a la Will Goodwin. BTW, if Goodwin went for £400k I want absolute minimum £750k for Thomas. Plus a chunky old sell on clause. That is not my un...

Re: Michael Flynn after win at Notts County

Thomas has a 150k release clause and hasn’t signed a new deal. Anyone who thought he’d be here next year was either unaware of that or is daft. Of the teams linked, Hibs seem the most likely destination. Ethan did sign a new deal but given Flynn’s comment it’s pretty clear that that was to either a...

Re: Post Office scandal

I suppose if a company is paying their bill, auditors aren't going to be too critical of them. Coincidentally the author of the infamous Ismay Report was previously an EY auditor. https://www.postofficescandal.uk/post/rod-ismay-the-useful-idiot/ However that is exactly their role, to question them ...

Re: Former players

3-0 now, Forest Green’s promotion push currently ‘faltering’ with only 3 wins in 11 games. It probably makes no difference in the grand scheme. They are 10 points behind second and nine clear of fourth so are rock solid in third. But if they go on a losing run then the play offs might be too much f...

Bear in mind wage bills have just gone up thanks to our lovely Labour government. The NI bills will be through the roof now, easily £1000 per player per year extra and more likely double on someone on £50k.

Anyone know just how much in total FGR have lost since that bloke took over? I know it was about £18m in the 4 years up until they finally got promoted into the EFL, but lost count of it since then. Retained earnings are currently negative £16.2m, shareholder funds are negative £1.2m Most of the de...

Thanks. That would have been mid 1970’s, so 50 years ago. Must admit I always thought they were local? Where were they from? Our club then of course bears very little resemblance to CTFC in 2025. Another director I recall round that time was Colin Badger who was connected with manager Dennis Allen....

How are the personal (business) interests of Seppala going to be any different from a company she was head of? Unless you know what her personal interests are, then that is a hard one to answer. Would Seppala not be looking for a return? Surely at our level (as per the Disney+ club), investing is more of a vanity project rather than making money?
