Re: Whaddon Road
A new stand is worth it as long as the capacity of the ground doesn't decrease after completion - which means it would have to be at least 2,000 capacity, so 3,000 sounds sensible to me, bringing the ground's capacity up to about 8,000. We'd have to play one season with a reduced capacity of about ...

Re: SCOREBOARD
Why do you want one? More important things to focus on than a scoreboard. Marginal improvements to matchday experience add up to bigger crowds.... why do we want seats, why do we TV screens, why do we want toilets, etc etc No it won't add to the match day experience, or add to bigger crowds, people...

Re: It's a shame our away crowds are so poor
Was good to see our fans making plenty of noise at the end of the game at Tranmere. But our numbers really are borderline embarrassing compared to many other clubs. Bear in mind that we are top of the league then consider that Grimsby took 1767 to Halifax (90 min journey?), Chester had 432 at Kiddy...

Re: Good news about removing squatters.
I thought only the World of Smile Stadium and New Lawn were capable of hosting National League football. I thought Evesham's ground would require some improvement as would Cirencester's Gloucester would have to accept demotion on the last day of the season. Evesham have a capacity of 3000 which mee...

From what I've heard from a local source in Gloucester where their youth team play, Gloucester will be playing at Evesham United as of next season.

Does anyone have any info on the current condition of the pitch? A lot of heavy rain yesterday, more predicted through the night and into tomorrow, is it playable today? Could we expect an early or even late pitch inspection.

Re: Games in hand
The Grimsby game should be comfortably our biggest gate of the season, I would hope for 6000+ as they will fill the away end unlike FGR. I'm expecting this game to be moved for TV, which may impact the crowd. With a big crowd expected PB won't agree to a change for TV, as what happened when a at ma...

Re: Away to Oxford City.
The winner of the next game gets a whopping £6k, no wonder crowds are so low it's hardly worth it. Might only be £6k for winners and was only £5k for beating Chelmsford, but it all comes in handy, £5k effectively covers the total cost for an overnight stay during a long away league trip, so when th...

Re: Bad result for FGR and us?
Good morning Mattyboi, I am sincere in stating that FGR are playing very well - ask the 5,500 who attended the recent local derby game. Obviously your opinion if different to mine, but I'm sure FGR will be close to automatic promotion at end of season. The reason for FGR's slump in form was entirel...

Re: Bad result for FGR and us?
The way FGR have played recently I am confident that they will be in prime place for automatic promotion. If not FGR I would want to see CTFC get that spot. But one of your dedicated supporters recently wrote that Cheltenham habitually fall away after the New Year. Historically FGR did splash the m...

Your glass seems half empty, this could quite easily have the opposite effect, those on the receiving end of the hospitality might think, this is alright, I'll come back here, I could even invest some money I liked it so much.

We are screaming for a 6yards finisher. We have 1, well actually 2, Williams n Dale both know where the net is, they both know how to finish, 50 goals for farnbourgh between them, in friendlies and competitive games, what more can the lads do but score goals when sent out on loan. They had 650 at our place when they played Glos City in the cup last season,so would hope for that many again plus some Glos City supporters. Our defence
It's hard to be too critical as we are 2nd in the league, but is our defence good enough (particularly the CB pairing) no clean sheet in 9, conceding very late costly goals, switching off at key times (immediately after scoring). It's all very well winning games by scoring late on but that counts fo...

Re: 3-4 players close to signing?
16 players!!! As it stands we still have 14 under contract, at least 8 will enter preseason and I can't see more than 2 of the transfer listed guys getting clubs. So we may sign upto 5 players but if transfers of our players don't happen, money won't be freed up so signings won't be made. Can you ho...

Not sure it's fair to blame the kids, had they have been integrated into the tea correctly from preseason onwards their confidence wouldn't have taken a huge knock. H Willisms looked sharp vs newport, Bowen looked confident vs Stevanege, Zak hasn't been allowed to progress with no starts. Hanks in a...

Some great ideas but I guess a lot boils down to cost and money is always at a premium. Re: Groundshare Poll - #GloucesterCityOut?
The question that needs to be asked is, what has been the average cost of pitch repairs and mantainence since gloucester have been sharing, and what was the average cost before they were renting. Then we would see how much 45k is really worth

Yes the pitch is bad, but why is it so bad in comparison to Ashton gate? City share with the rugby club, pitch looks lovely, same at Oxford and reading? Why can their pitches withstand more matches but ours can't?

Where can they? FGR don't want them and no other ground in the county is upto vanarama North standards. Hence the enforced relegation and likely return to cirencester which is where the had to leave once they got promoted. Hold them to ransom!!!

With glos city looking ever closer to returning to sunk meadow park, Baker needs to up the rent by a good 50%. No, because at the time he carried to many injuries and wasn't good enough. Went to newport who at the time were in conference South, fair play to him for fighting back up, he's done well, same as Marley Watkins, but at the time correct decision to release them.
