Re: CTFC Up for sale
Needs to be taken into account that we don’t own the ground which may well put off interest. I’ve no idea if the council would ever be interested in selling it to a potential investor? But we do own the training ground so that might be a bonus. Anyway this could all drag on for a few years. Not hold...

Shouldn’t the club have been put up for sale whilst we were in League One?

This from the official website:- The Club is a member of the English Football League (EFL) and is subject to the EFL’s rules and regulations. As required by those regulations, the Club can confirm the following person(s) have a ‘significant interest’ (as that term is defined within the EFL regulatio...

Re: Update from trust
I’ve just read the email. Quite honestly I feel sick. The Trust say - “We are extremely disappointed our efforts to support the Club were unsuccessful and we have been told the Club will shortly be making an announcement regarding its plans.”
Can’t wait to hear the board’s plans…….

Re: Cheltenham Town v Fleetwood Town
Here’s a positive. The applause for John Williams was a lovely moment. It actually kickstarted a bit of atmosphere for the last 10 mins and credit to Block 1 for leading it. Unfortunately, neither I, nor anyone around me, seemed to know anything about it. No idea what was going on. Not sure if it w...

I saw the queue in the CF at half time. I usually do a quick circuit but turned back because it was gridlocked. I’m rapidly losing faith with the way our club is being run.

So tonight we’re 5th from bottom. Take out the two late injury time winners at home and we’d be 23rd and amongst a complete and utter shi@show.

Excellent piece on former Robins manager Jim Barron. I remember having a few chats with him when he was in charge 1988 to 1990. Seemed a genuinely nice chap who tried to raise the profile of our club. His contract wasn’t renewed because of the financial situation at the time. We’d lost too much mone...

Trouble is one minute it’s the excitement of little old Cheltenham playing some big guns in league one. Next minute it’s a scrap in league two.
Not much to grab the attention at the moment. Probably best hope is a half decent run in the FA Cup?

Re: Success and Failure
When a new team is put together, the first criteria is to ensure that you are defensively sound. So far you could say that is close to being achieved with the games lost have only been by one goal. The next criteria is to control the game for most of the time. This seems to be getting better with l...

I’m sure most supporters will agree with the talk of players, formations, opposition etc, but I was most interested in what James Young had to say about the Trust and “Building for the Future.” I truly believe the future of our club is accepting what James and the Trust propose. Have a listen, it’s ...

Re: The most positive thing about our 3 home games....
When I started going to the Robins as a young lad in 1968 we’d regularly get crowds of 3,000. By 1981 we were getting about 300 for some games, built up to 1,000+ by the time we won the Southern League in 1985 and continued to grow during our first spell in the Conference. The facilities at WR are w...

Re: The most positive thing about our 3 home games....
I did not enjoy the 2013/14 season at all. The two play off season’s sides started to break up and lesser players brought in, and Yatesy started to lose his way. I wasn’t over surprised when we got relegated a year later, but going from the play offs to relegation in two years shouldn’t have happene...

Re: Michael Flynn after Harrogate win
Anyone know exactly how much of a slope there is? I remember at one time water would collect at the bottom of the slope in the corner where the PRE and CF meet, but a pump was put in to help drain the water years ago. We’ve got an excellent playing surface, look at the state of the Newport pitch a f...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Harrogate Town
I thought Payne was one of our better players first half despite some goofs like tripping over the ball under no real pressure. He only did that to try and give us some entertainment……. And the squirrel made the best run down the wing all day. On that point, who’s the fastest winger we’ve ever had?

EFL SQUAD LISTS 2024/25
For anyone interested here are the squad lists for the current season. We are listed just before Derby, in with the League One sides. I believe the squads had to be declared to the EFL this week. Odd that Freddie Willcox is not listed in the U21 players but in the main list of squad players? And jus...

Bradbury reported as being of interest to Yeovil, but as the window doesn’t apply to the National League he could move anytime soon.

A bit of a weird one this, only here until January, maybe gives us some pace up top if we need to change things around. Not sure it screams of improving the squad though. Let's hope he's not another Butler-Odejayi. Shipley is also only here until January. So that’s six loans now. This time last yea...
