Re: Sad day

Graeme was always there when we used to go away in the non league days. Last time I saw him was about 10 years ago in the Kemble pre-match.
RIP Graeme, a true Robin through thick and thin.

Re: Nine years ago today......

If I recall correctly pressure was building on Yatesy, Buckle was identified as a being available by the board, Yates was sacked and Buckle was appointed with no one else interviewed. What was the name of his minder who was always at shoulder? Not meaning Rob Edwards, who was Buckle’s short term ass...

Re: Charlton Athletic v Cheltenham Town

A decent committed performance from our boys and if we’d had Thompson, Pett, Street and Ben Williams available I reckon we could have won that. Goodwin excellent first half but visibly tired in the second and Ferry looked like he was really struggling towards the end. Both penalties avoidable - Free...

Quick quiz question

I’ve just seen a preseason photo of Aston Villa from summer 1985.
There are two former Robins in the photo. Have a guess who they are. Just for fun so no cheating ;)

Just to add it was a real pleasure to be in attendance on Thursday evening and the complimentary pint of Deya most welcome. It would have been good to have seen more supporters there and if you’re not a member of the trust I’d ask you to consider joining, it’s only a tenner to join and gives more “p...

Not forgetting that CTFC were kicked out of the FA Cup and the FA Trophy because of a cock up in 1973/74.

Re: Robins Report Podcast

For me, I think there are two points here. Firstly, I agree with the consensus that the £250k threshold was too low, should have been at least £300k if not £350k but that is just my opinion. Secondly, I think it all depends on the actual wording of the 'Gentleman's Agreement'. If it was that if any...

Re: Robins Report Podcast

The problem with any valuation is that it is tied to the length of the outstanding contract. Within 12 months, Alfie's transfer value would be down to zero. All the advantages are with the buying club. Do you accept what is offered knowing full well that in a year you are going to miss out on £250 ...

Wouldn’t mind a good few of their players in our side, unlike Bradford. 4-0 at half time.
Crowley involved in all four goals so far with some classy passing.
Crowley far too good for league two.

Re: Today's referee

I'm not sure what he did wrong at the end. He just blew the final whistle, didn't he? Did something else happen? Back pass which the keeper picked up. He chose to blow the final whistle rather than make a decision about awarding us the indirect free kick. I thought their player used his knee to pas...

Re: Tuesday night

Why did we play a forward with limited left foot ability at left wing back and Chapman out of position? It was 11 against 9 on the pitch. I assume given the status of the game that DC was more concerned about giving certain players certain minutes - which meant playing some out of position. For all...

Re: Adam Murray after West Ham defeat

I know we've tended to cost cut to the bone after a relegation the one exception being the Gary Johnson champions season where we essentially threw everything we had to back him and gave him a big budget for the level. Clearly we won't go down and be one of the top budgets but Accrington and Moreca...

We’ve played five cup matches this season and lost the lot. We’re out of all cup competitions by early November. Don’t ever recall that in my 55 years of supporting the Robins. Zero prize money and no more competitive cup matches to give our youngsters a chance. What a sh*tshow. I’m preying DC can t...
