Re: CTFC Up for sale

Needs to be taken into account that we don’t own the ground which may well put off interest. I’ve no idea if the council would ever be interested in selling it to a potential investor? But we do own the training ground so that might be a bonus. Anyway this could all drag on for a few years. Not hold...

Shouldn’t the club have been put up for sale whilst we were in League One?

3-4-2-1?
Bowman up front by himself?
This ain’t looking good, but we all know that.

As required by those regulations, the Club can confirm the following person(s) have a ‘significant interest’ (as that term is defined within the EFL regulatio...

I’ve just read the email. Quite honestly I feel sick. The Trust say - “We are extremely disappointed our efforts to support the Club were unsuccessful and we have been told the Club will shortly be making an announcement regarding its plans.”
Can’t wait to hear the board’s plans…….

Here’s a positive. The applause for John Williams was a lovely moment. It actually kickstarted a bit of atmosphere for the last 10 mins and credit to Block 1 for leading it. Unfortunately, neither I, nor anyone around me, seemed to know anything about it. No idea what was going on. Not sure if it w...

I saw the queue in the CF at half time. I usually do a quick circuit but turned back because it was gridlocked. I’m rapidly losing faith with the way our club is being run.
Isn’t it about time the FED did a bit more for us loyal supporters?

So tonight we’re 5th from bottom. Take out the two late injury time winners at home and we’d be 23rd and amongst a complete and utter shi@show.
Beggars belief after everything Duffo and his staff and players achieved only just over two years ago.
I don’t know what more to say…..

Excellent piece on former Robins manager Jim Barron. I remember having a few chats with him when he was in charge 1988 to 1990. Seemed a genuinely nice chap who tried to raise the profile of our club. His contract wasn’t renewed because of the financial situation at the time. We’d lost too much mone...

Trouble is one minute it’s the excitement of little old Cheltenham playing some big guns in league one. Next minute it’s a scrap in league two.
Not much to grab the attention at the moment. Probably best hope is a half decent run in the FA Cup?

Re: Success and Failure

When a new team is put together, the first criteria is to ensure that you are defensively sound. So far you could say that is close to being achieved with the games lost have only been by one goal. The next criteria is to control the game for most of the time. This seems to be getting better with l...

When I started going to the Robins as a young lad in 1968 we’d regularly get crowds of 3,000. By 1981 we were getting about 300 for some games, built up to 1,000+ by the time we won the Southern League in 1985 and continued to grow during our first spell in the Conference. The facilities at WR are w...

I did not enjoy the 2013/14 season at all. The two play off season’s sides started to break up and lesser players brought in, and Yatesy started to lose his way. I wasn’t over surprised when we got relegated a year later, but going from the play offs to relegation in two years shouldn’t have happene...

I thought Payne was one of our better players first half despite some goofs like tripping over the ball under no real pressure. He only did that to try and give us some entertainment……. And the squirrel made the best run down the wing all day. On that point, who’s the fastest winger we’ve ever had?
