Re: Robins Trust Email - Cheltenham Town: Building for the Future
I see membership has somewhat surged in the 8 days since this statement was made, proving that the Trust showing some intent and challenging the board is what the core fanbase wants. I think I saw that it was just under 270, and had climbed to 351 the day before last. Excellent! if anyone on here i...

Re: Rumour season opens
Baraclough has been in place as assistant manager with Cheltenham Town, relegated to League Two, since January so some compensation would have to be paid if he leaves that role but that’s not a major stumbling block. They know it will be about £150 compensation  Thought he only signed a contra...

Re: Robins Trust Email - Cheltenham Town: Building for the Future
Be interesting to see or hear what the main board’s thoughts are on this, and if they will make a public response.
I’d like to think so, and I’m sure many others would too.
Once again, thanks to the Trust for their considerable efforts in producing this document.
Onwards and hopefully upwards.

Bromley have just torpedoed our mouth-watering Boxing Day fixture against Solihull. 😉 Will be interesting who we do get on Boxing Day. We are nearly always at home, you’d think it would be Swindon but the EFL don’t seem to like real local derbies on BD. Traditionally it’s been south west clubs like...

Quiz question
Have we ever played another club, that within 13 months, we and they are three divisions apart? So we played Ipswich in April 2023 at our place and it ended 1-1. They didn’t beat us in four attempts either. Now they are promoted to the Premier League, whilst we will be three divisions below in Leagu...

Re: Bromley or Solihull Moors
Bromley it is. 2-2 after ET.
Bromley win the penalty shootout 4-3.
Jos Labadie one of two misses for Solihull Moors.
Tahvon Campbell put his kick away.
We played at Bromley in the National League winning season, so not a new club or ground for us.

Haven't we a decent record with loanee centre halves? Off the top of my head Michael Hector , Rob Dickie, Cameron Burgess, Jamie Pollocks lad, Greaves. One of a similar quality would be nice in League 2. Not forgetting other central defenders we had on loan who went on to have good careers after sp...

Fantastic effort by James Young and The Trust.
Why people can’t just acknowledge and praise that is beyond me.
Too much continual nitpicking on here for my liking.

I remember when we used to play Solihull FC and Moor Green FC in the Southern League 30 years ago. Solihull Moors are an amalgamation of those two clubs for anyone (remotely) interested. Not sure I knew that, thanks. They’ve done very well over the last 10 years or so. Some good investment and a de...

Wardy must be in his early ‘70s now?
Thought he’d be enjoying his retirement?
Top bloke who spoke loads of sense even if he did clear off to Carlisle, but he did say he couldn’t take the Robins any further forward back then.

Who was the team we beat 5-0 in the National League title winning season? Midweek game at WR under lights and the away supporters coach was late arriving.
About 25 got off and by the time they were in their seats we were 2-0 up and we’d only played five minutes. Much amusement prevailed.

One man is being forgotten in all of this: Alfie May, he kept us in the league one with his 20+ goals a season, no Alfie no more league one. I think Alfie May owes a lot to Mike Duff. He wasn't exactly setting the world on fire before MD really got stuck into him. Just ask Doncaster. I think most o...

Must be a good month earlier starting the the renovation this year. Local cup finals, business competitions and pop concerts, plus the availability of the sub contractors oftens means a late May start. We’ll have the best playing surface in league two! Just need the players who can use it. Interesti...

Yes, I noticed a few Stevenage players turn to acknowledge us at the end. Unlike the bellend Sweeney shushing us when they scored the penalty. Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
Thought Pardington did remarkably well seeing he’s only played a handful of senior games in his career.
Noted that his contract runs out this summer, as does Southwood, and Max Harris too I believe.
If DC moves on, good luck to whoever sorting out the No. 1 for starters.

Grant McCann a true Robins great. Really nice bloke too. Sat with him at an end of season dinner 20 years ago.
