I too remember both of those games way back when I had all my hair! Also remember Ken Skeen playing. By an astonishing coincidence, I had a quick chat with him this morning in M&S Foodhall at Gallagher Park. First time I had seen him in years. He looked well.

Whilst I would love Akinde to sign for the Robins, I have a feeling he will stay in the London area and end up at one of Wycombe, Wimbledon or Stevenage. Here's hoping GJ proves me wrong!

Surely the most important point about SE leaving is his persistent knee injury. You have to assume it will no longer stand the rigors of full-time training. At SE's age, getting over a knee injury takes some doing and will, inevitably, have an adverse affect on whatever pace he had. Fabulous player ...
