Re: It’s one year since……
That period that got the crowd on the team’s back was actually a masterclass in how to frustrate an opponent into breaking their rhythm. Wimbledon had come for the 1-0 and were happy sitting in, so we just played keep ball for 3-4 mins, playing it sideways and back, probing with the wing backs then...

Re: Fleetwood
Whilst driving to darts last night I had Radio 5 on and they gave a couple of stats about Fleetwood that I haven't verified myself yet - notably, They have won 5 of their last 6 and haven't conceded in any of those 6 games. Note that this was before last night's game against top of the Championship...

Re: Fleetwood
I think if we lose to Derby and then Fleetwood it really could become toxic at Whaddon Road. Afraid so Si. As i said on another thread,Fleetwoods last 5 games are won 4 drawn 1 which makes me fearful of this game. Before anyone jumps on me for being "negative", all I am saying is we canno...

Re: so what to do
It's a different scenario, we currently have 14 games to get 12-15 points needed to keep us up. So we need someone who can come in and make an instant impact, so for that you want a more proven manager in my opinion. Time for U-23 or first time boss would have been in the summer. Robin,I have just ...

Re: so what to do
Problem for me with Wade is we have never had any identity under him. I have watched a large portion of our matches home and away and still yet to see what our game plan is... from what I can work out it seems to consist of lump the ball long to two small strikers and sit back and hope teams cant b...

Re: so what to do
Serious question Si would do you suggest the board sound out if not the above names? Not knocking you genuinely curious. We need to becareful what we wish for and hope the board don't make another appointment who is worse than Wade such as a Matt Taylor, Keith Curle or Jerry Gill. Going for an unpr...

Re: so what to do
If I were on the board I would be talking with Graham Alexandra, Karl Robinson, the Cowleys, Grant McCann and anyone else who has some experience/success in league one to see if they would be interested in taking on the job. Then we can move quickly if things continue and not be stuck waiting for a...

I do not want to be rude but i will be,you are living in cloud cuckoo land. I will call it now. Stay as we are and we will go down.

Re: Relegation head to heads
Yep, another day where other results were as good as we could hope for. Draws are no good for FGR. Our remaining games against the other bottom 3rd teams (MK, Burton, FGR, Oxford) are huge. Win those and we are pretty much safe, with the other odd draw added in here and there. So are you two saying...

Old enough to know that it was very unlikely DF was going to be the right fit (tactically, psychologically, metaphysically) for a struggling L1 side despite more simple minds on here saying FGR would fly up the table because DF did OK when managed Everton for a bit based on the emotional connection...

Re: Final points total
Based on the current points/game rate of the teams below us then sadly not. Both MK and Morecambe would end up on 44.5 points. Of course who knows what will happen to the form of all the teams in the last 15/16 games but I suspect we would need at least another 3 points from somewhere. On current p...

Would 42 points keep us up? Because, having looked at the fixtures and with the best will in the world,42 is the most I can see us getting. Trying not to be negative, just asking.
