Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
Still plenty of time to go. It seems clear to me that you are the better footballing team but Stevenage are better on the air. If you can keep it on the floor you have a chance. I don't rate Nuttall based on that?

Good Luck
Hi all, Gashead here. Just want to wish you all the best today. I sincerely hope you stay up. DC was a legend at Rovers and is still loved by us. It hasnt felt the same since we parted with jim tbh. He's done a great job with you guys. Obviously Sercombe was popular too, not a fan of Matty Taylor fo...

Re: Commiserations
Thanks Gava it's not over yet but the club have done so much right a) get the best possible manager b) give him a decent budget c) get the business done early and d) build an excellent rapport with the fans with a clear aim of promotion. I've not enjoyed the standard of football or general lack of ...

Re: Commiserations
Aaron Downes just been released by Torquay. Played for us for a bit and is a decent centre half in the Steve Elliott mould. Torquay fans a bit disappointed to see him go and partly due to his wage. So you should be able to get at least 1 good CH from Elliott, Trotman or Downes. Hey, pleased to see ...

Re: Commiserations
Thanks Gava we had Trotman on trial last summer but decided he wasnt up to it, feel we will be in the market for two first choice centre halves this summer so he could be a good option. How is Lee Mansell getting on, could he be released? He's a local lad from these parts and always has great bante...

Re: Commiserations
I've just thought... Neal Trotman would be an excellent signing if we let him go, he was superb when McChrystal was out injured and hasn't had a look in since because our cbs have been doing so well. When we signed him, Plymouth fans said he was s#!t but they couldn't have been further from the trut...

Re: Commiserations
2 games from promotion, I think Rovers will go up. Any of your squad likely to be released in the sumer gava? It's hard to say until we know if we are playing league or non league football next season. Mildenhall our keeper will probably be released but will probably cost too much for you. Maybe Ba...

From a gashead. It's c!#p getting relegated out of the league at first. This time last year was the worst I have ever felt as a football fan but time is the perfect healer as they say. What do you make of GJ so far? I think he was a good appointment and it sounds like it was Yates and Buckle who rel...

Fair play to you. You made a big mistake appointing Buckle but seem to be starting to make amends. Hope we meet you in league two next season.

Re: Club statement
We absolutely need Ward back he is exactly teh sort of interim person we want for teh remainder of the season, I know he left on a sour note but most would forgive that now I am sure. Don't forget Wardy was at Brizzle Rovers when they got relegated last season, been out of the game since then I sus...

Re: BUCKLE OUT
How to run a football club - allow the manager you appointed two months ago to sign a couple of dozen players then sack him. I agree with you. The trouble is that he was a poor appointment in the first place and is exactly the sort of manager you don't need in this situation. I thought he may have ...

Re: Reality check.
Mark Halliwell made a good point on Twitter: Some of me says there's no point in making another managerial change - yet then I wonder if we can afford NOT to... What happens next? I find Mark Haliwell is very balanced in his views so for him to have put that out there sets alarm bells ringing for m...

Re: Reality check.
Sounds all too familiar. A Rovers fan commented to Steve Elliott: Didn't you lower your expectations then Stevie? Elliott's response was Can't work in that environment, ask Wesso. Very worrying comments about the environment at the club. Reminds me of the Martin Allen era. Didn't Paul Baker learn a...

You guys seemed to have adjusted to conference life quite well gava88 and are very much in form. How has Clarke managed to turn things round so quickly? Top spot might be a push unless Barnet have a blip but I can definitely see you coming up via the play offs He's done brilliantly in all fairness ...

As a Rovers fan, I would avoid both Buckle and Ward if at all possible. Ward is the lesser of the two evils though as at least he has good man management skills.
Good luck guys, you'll need it.

Re: BUCKLE OUT
Fingers crossed that our new strikeforce is good enough? What's Elliot Richards like Gava? He would look ok in the conference (which is where you are heading at this rate) but not really good enough or consistent enough for league 2. He will have the odd good game in 10 and you will hardly notice h...

Re: Paul Buckle after the 3-1 home defeat by Burton Albion
Paul Buckle appears to shirk responsibility. He speaks of senior players stepping forward or words to that affect, save it for the dressing room and not in public. This is a sure fire way of alienating and demotiviating players at the very time we need them lifted individually and as a unit. Player...

Re: BUCKLE OUT
I feel for you guys at the minute... Buckle seemed a good appointment at the time but Torquay fans told us they were glad to see the back of him and how we will regret getting him. At the time they seemed bitter but proved to be right. He cleared out too much too quick, turned the fans against him b...

Every time there's a goal there seems to be people jumping on the pitch when you come over! We're just very passionate and quite often against you it's been at an important time. Re: Good game lads!
Ground worse than WR in terms of accessibility and parking. Truly awful pitch. Great steak and kidney pie. Two evenly matched teams, one mistake separated them. Both grounds are easy to find somewhere close to park. Pitch was bad but that's understandable, surprised you didn't mention our ground as...

to be appointed manager of our rivals Bristol City at 11am
Just wondered what you guys thought of him? Doesn't seem a bad appointment from the outside. Just wanted a brief summary of your opinions/what style of football?

What is the deal with him? Thought he looked a decent player at Port Vale last season and I wanted us (Rovers) to sign him in the summer but can't seem to get in your team now?
