Re: Three in on loan
A lot of our fans would have taken Hinds and Moore. Think you've got two very good signings there. Can't say I know a lot about Morrell though.

Re: Comparing us and Lincoln
Seen some remarks on various posts comparing us to Lincoln very surprising finds 1 the population of Lincoln is around 20,000 fewer than Cheltenham 2 when they won the vanarama they averaged 5,161 we averaged 3006 3 there highest attendance 10,031 ours was just over half of that 4 there sales of se...

Re: Underwhelmed
I think your signings look decent. Don't think you'll be challenging at the top end of the table, but that was always going to be a push given how last season went. You look to me like a striker away from a decent team, albeit from a distance and having not seen any of preseason.

He's a decent player, but he doesn't speak much English, or at least he didn't when he joined us. It may have improved as the season went on, but if you don't have any french speakers it might be a bit more difficult for him.

Re: Checkatrade Trophy draw: that's more like it!
The most likely dates are Tuesday 29 August Tuesday 3 October Tuesday 7 November The academy sides may request date changes, as all of these are pre-international weeks. If I remember rightly, the academy sides do not play home games, so we will have two home (the academy and one of FGR or Newport)...

I think Jimmy would do well for you, he didn't score many for us, but we were using him more as a target man. As for Ryan Donaldson I think he'd do better moving to the National League. He struggled to make any sort of impact at all last season (and the one before at Cambridge).

Re: score vs plymouth ?
Should be interesting to see him up against Jervis then, as he's been in decent form recently. Not overly convinced by Garita and Slew so far, but either might be rested after Wednesday. Don't have that much available to change though as we've got about six out injured at the moment.

Re: score vs plymouth ?
Our form over the last 10 games has been very average. I wouldn't be surprised if you nick it. I'll say 2-1 Argyle, but as I say, it wouldn't be a massive surprise if you win 1-0.

I can only remember the more recent games to be fair! Just know this will be my first visit as I've always either struggled to get a ticket or not been able to afford it. No idea what to expect today in terms of the match. We've kept Liverpool relatively quiet in two games (in that they didn't reall...

Durrell Berry is meant to be the defender, more than capable in League 2. He turned down a contract with Argyle in the summer thinking he could find something better but it didn't work out for him

He's very good in the air, but he tends to make 2/3 costly slips/mistakes a game and he'll lose you more points than he'll win you if he's anything like he was with us.

he scored against you in January, from 1:18-1:44 shows Young from that game, he's 21 and played over 100 times for us. Wouldn't be a bad signing for you.

He can play as a defensive midfielder, had been for us quiet a bit to allow Hourihane to get forward more, his range of passing is excellent for League 2 and he can take a decent freekick too

I do expect a good season for you lot, Cureton, Gornell, Vincent, Richards, and Brown are very good signings, Vincent absolutely ripped us apart last season when we lost 4-0 at Vale Park, you're definitely one of the teams i think will do well, but the League seems very strong this year

I can't see us challenging for promotion, maybe if we bring in a few more players of the calibre we've been signing, but with the current squad i think Argyle will be midtable
