Look at league 2. The highest spending is soon to be relegated . It doesn’t necessarily correlate that the more you spend, the better your outcome .

Re: Teams around us - Thread to season end
Peterborough 77% possession, 9 shots to Vale’s 1. Expect a 1-1 draw. 2 0.... That second goal drops Vale back down below Burton on goal difference. Amazingly, it’s perfectly possible that this time next week we can be out of the bottom four. Isn’t that what someone also mentioned last night ?

Huff n puff but no quality
Been a regular for approx 20 years . I’d say, that was up there with one of the most powder puff performances for such a critical game . Against the lowest side in the league, already relegated . Where to start . Manager doesn’t know his best starting 11. Maybe because players are so inconsistent . ...

What I am about to say may sound harsh to some people but after reading the interview with Aiden and him saying :- he has stressed that he is not feeling the pressure when it comes to opening his account for the season, despite his team being 36 games into their League One campaign. Re: The rest of the season
There's not much more we can do to stay in League 1. I don't see us signing a free-agent striker, I don't think we have the funds to. It could all be back in our own hands after tomorrow night's games as well, so a bit early to be throwing in the towel. Well if the club isn't allowing Darrell to lo...

thing is charlton looked so brittle at the back and just needed steady pressure and goals would come but we just looked completely without idea (for the majority of the game) There was about 6-7 mins when equalized and we played with belief, ball on the ground , looked like a good side . It was a t...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Wycombe Wanderers
The drop-off in intensity without Street is alarming. Given that’s been the recipe to our improved performances, it’s a worry. The change in formation may need to come sooner than we think as a roll of the dice. Wycombe are poor but we were well off our usual levels then. Early goal please. You got...

We started really well. But we no have turned into a long ball side completely . We seem unable to change the way we play . The stuffing has been knocked out after the second goal. We have a front coming from the south which we will see milder temperatures and that will be felt tomorrow, very much milder. If we can't play in 7c temperatures then move the season to spring/summer. Do the people that make these foolish decisions look at the weather models, it not rocket science ...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Portsmouth
First incident was categorically, 100%, totally NOT a penalty - not even up for discussion: the ball had been won a lot longer than a split second before Kamara went over the leg. It wasn't even one of those "seen 'em given" moments - it was clearly a perfect tackle. I did think, however,...

What a win that was! One of those "I was there" moments. Whole team battled for everything but Lloyd, Sercombe and Davies were outstanding. Don't want to be too negative but we improved a lot when Ferry came on for Williams, Ben has improved a lot but was very guilty of drifting out of po...

At least 3 points dropped in last few days from poor defending . And Keena needs to go out on loan. There’s a great striker in there somewhere, just needs to go find the net in lower leagues and rebuild his mojo. What was Freestone thinking . Drops us right back into the mix again with some very tou...

We do seem to have a glass ceiling where we can't get over 6000 for a league game but as others have said that's very likely down to the lack of seats. If we had bigger capacity I'm sure overall attendance would have been higher tonight, is it worth maybe putting a temp stand in the paddock/canteen...

I thought we looked better without Long after being subbed and without Davies . Midfield void. How many times did freestone or Davies have the ball, and no outlet . Just so static . So then Southwood kicks long and every time , their defenders won the header .
