Re: Cheltenham Town v Crewe Alexandra
Impressive first game, I thought. Good to see that Duff has a system in place, which is more than you can say for some of our previous managers. The high press will be very effective when the players are properly drilled into it.

Re: stick or twist?
Call up Antonio Conte and tell him that Chel-*phone crackle* want him to prove to Abramovich that he's still got it. When he's reading the the contract, make sure we put our thumbs over the "-tenham" part and then, once he's signed on the dotted line, we've got him trapped! Sorted .

Peter Beadle from Hereford could be worth looking at. He would be a bit of a gamble, though.

£1m would be great but I'm not sure I trust the club to spend that money well. I can see us being dragged into a relegation battle if Eisa leaves.

If it's a decent offer, I'd take it. Spend the money on a winger.

The great thing about Mo is his technique. The way in which he hits the ball makes him so deadly. He's the best finisher I've ever seen at the club!

Re: Away fans today against GJ...
I think part of it is that our intended target man never materialised. Wright just wasn’t up to L2 pace and Graham didn’t live up to expectations. When signing a player who had scored some important goals in the Scottish Cup latter stages and to get promoted to the SPL you would hope they can compe...

Re: Away fans today against GJ...
I hope we keep GJ, especially as there are no better alternatives. However, I do understand (and share) the frustration with him recently. I missed the last game but have been to a lot of games recently (including the humiliating loss to FGR) and his tactics do make you feel like pulling your hair o...

Re: What sort of player do we need?
We need a pacey winger, pacey striker, creative midfielder and a tough tackling midfielder. To be honest though, we'd be lucky to even get one of them.

Re: 94 minutes of dross, 4 seconds of class
I agree with your ratings. I can't believe OSJ got man of the match when Taylor was the best player on the park by a country mile!
(I'm not saying OSJ performed badly btw, but he wasn't as good as Taylor and it seemed that he was given the award because he was the only Cheltenham player to score)

With the likes of Luton Town, FC United, Hearts and now the mighty Chelsea all committing to the support of the living wage, can we get some Cheltenham Town on track to support this directive by the Living Wage Foundation? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-30414668" onclick="win...

I've never liked Gornell, thank God his contract is almost up! The quicker we boot him out and replace him with a League 2 standard striker the better.

I know there will be plenty of CTFC fans happy with their situation but now we are a club without any genuine rivals again unless you still feel there is still a rivalry with Gloucester City. Exactly. You want your rivals to suffer, but not get relegated or go extinct. I miss playing Hereford and I...

Carson Deaman Taylor Elliott Black Kotwica Hanks Ferdinand CBB Williams Byron Personally I would give CBB and Kotwica ago on the wingers as they would provide some pace and imo Black is a better LB than CBB. I would also play Williams in behind Byron which is where he seems to have been most effect...

Re: So what will save our season
Is it really so difficult for League 2 players to be able to cross a ball effectively? You'd have thought not, but our players seem to make everything look difficult! CBB's technique is especially awful, he either boots the ball into the crowd or doesn't look up when he's about to cross and just ki...

Re: So what will save our season
I'd quite like to see CBB on the left of midfield with Paul Black, perhaps, at left-back. I completely agree. Put CBB through some intensive crossing training and he'd be a quality left winger. I think then we'd need to get a right winger and a pacy striker to go alongside Byron and we'd have a pre...

I think we may as well try experimenting in December. I'd like to see Hanks start the next game instead of Taylor. I also think we should give Zack a chance up front, as that's his natural position.

Re: Who's to blame?
Problem is Baron who can he bring on? He's been left with two strikers in a squad, and wingers who are no where near good enough (Sterling/Haworth/Kotwica). Kotwica is actually a striker, it's just that Yates tried to turn him into a winger. I think Buckle should give him a chance up front, at the ...
