Re: The rest of the season
Sorry Si ,but I respectfully question what you say. Finding 21k shouldn't be beyond a National League club let alone a L1 club, so to say we might become insolvent is scaremongering. Whether there's an oven ready option out there who knows, but for heavens sake we need to try. If we max out the cre...

Re: Your pre match routine
Since I can no longer afford to live in the UK having been priced-out of my own country (being made both homeless and unemployed in the process) many years ago: I don't have one. Just follow the games online, both in here and on the BBC. It's all I can do now.

Is everyone aware of this? I have to say in recent weeks, I have noticed the number of 'followers' has rocketed from (an already impressive) 12k to some 20k. 😱 Whoever is running this for the club is obviously doing an excellent job of getting the message out there in a quite interactive and interes...

Re: We are the 590th best supported team in the world
Anyone else get to the sign-in page and just think 'nope' and back out...? I realise it's little more than clicking a button marked 'accept cookies', but the way it was phrased was a good reminder of what that means! Agree. Not a very 'user friendly' site, but a nice concept. But all the table real...

Apparently. Based on average home attendance. Just behind Gresik United of the Indonesian second division and just ahead of MVV Maastricht in the Dutch second division. MASSIVE Can you post the complete list please? https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/verein-statistik/zuschauerrangliste/statistik/stat/...

Check out this post from EFL https://www.efl.com/news/2024/february/27/efl-statement-reading-fc-and-mr-dai-yongge/ Strong words, but ultimately the EFL are completely impotent in dealing with this owner whom their own p!## poor fit and proper person test failed to prevent ruining a football club. I never said he's our greatest manager. Just wish you would wake up and smell the coffee and see how far we have travelled since 3rd October. But... ...you can't. I did write out a response, but given you've clearly not read any of my posts on this thread properly what's the point? EDIT - The Table you posted doesn't include Wigan's points deduction, or Reading's. Here's the correct table - it was 7 points: https://www.11v11.com/league-tables/league-one/03-o...

I wouldn't mind if it was a job tbf. Frankly, anyone giving up when we're only 7 points off safety with 35 games to go wants their heads testing. Again I beg to differ. Can you back that judgement up with facts perchance? I have been watching football 60 years. I never saw such a comeback as this. ...

I agree with your last sentence completely. My whole argument is that when he took over we were hardly adrift. Whilst it looked hopeless, it wasn't beyond belief that we could turn it around. Certainly not mine, as evidenced by my comments on the Robins Report at the time. Sorry. I beg to differ. W...

Re: Robins' amazing improvement
Looking at everyone's fixtures from Wycombe down v current top 6, it's much of a muchness. For this reason, I see no real need to stress-out about our upcoming spell of Oxford-Tykes-Posh. When it comes to outstanding matches against the current top 3, who we and Fleetwood are done with, it's a diffe...

Re: Robins' amazing improvement
So. Doing the maths on the numbers given above, and bringing that form up to 46 games, gives something like this: CTFC. 55 Pts Wycombe 52 Charlton 45 -------------------- Vale 42 Exeter 41 Fleetwood 36 Carlisle 29 And that's not taking into account what Salop, Burton, Cambridgeshire or Reading might...

Poor recent form, struggling to score and some major injuries to strikers and defenders. https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/derby-county-injury-latest-cheltenham-9056800 They seem to be flogging the same players week in week out. For the players at least it seems to be a day off that has been given, saw will ferry out on the town during the day and late last night. I have heard some say it is not the way a professional athlete should be looking after his body That's worrying to hear. Wasn't out with Disco Devaney was he? 🕺

Certainly in the case of Charlton, I think their "logic" is, if they deprive us of a striker, it almost certainly dooms us to the drop...in their eyes. Think it's fair to say, that Fleetwood and Carlisle are also now staring death in the face, whilst Reading will almost certainly drop afte...

Office staff are sat in coats because the heating has been switched off. And the club are planning a January firesale of players to help pay the ...

I don’t disagree with RCS countdown or DC’s number of wins but the key stat is…are we within 3 points of safety when we play Stevenage? If we stay within three points (after our dreadful start) that’s basically a miracle. Hang in there boys, we’ve had easy games in december and will have hard ones ...

I really like this site. For someone like me living so far away (close to Geneva, Switzerland), it's an excellent way to stay relatively up-to-date; especially with the banter on match-days. Just wondering if there are any other ex-pat Robins out there who feel the same? As for 'recruitment', surely...

Looks as if all Keena's confidence left when Alfie May left🙁 I think that may be correct Everything was put on his shoulders.
