Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
Haven't seen it back again but their second deflected off someone and past Pardington. Possibly Long. Not an OG though as the shot was on target.

Re: Referee for Stevenage
As you say, he was a bit quick to give soft fouls but overall far from the worst ref we have had. Can't argue with the penalty. I'd have been screaming for it (doubt we would have been given it, though...)

Re: Farewells
Sack the "fans". The level of ignorance by a lot of these people is beyond belief. They have zero knowledge of the club, it seems, and yet they go around shouting things like sack the board, Bloxham is clueless and needs to go, the board needs to put their hand in their pockets, etc, with ...

Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
Just seen Charlton apparently now owe us £400k for May as he's finished top scorer, so that'll help if it's true. The figure comes from a Charlton fan.

Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
God damn hope. We were down weeks ago but at least we have gone out with some pride. Here's to the 2024/25 season. I'll take survival right now, but hopefully we can keep DC and have a go at the play-offs, or better. Think we’ll have a few years of consolidation in League Two, a bit like after rele...

Re: Stevenage v Cheltenham Town
3 or 4 chances off the line or saved by the keepers foot as well. At the end of the day, today again showed our main problem all season - we haven't been able to score enough goals. Which is ironic as we ended up scoring more than a few teams who wound up safe. And scored more and conceded less than...

Can we invoke the spirit of Nene Park? Obvs I'd prefer us to be ahead within the next 15 mins but that would be the ultimate smash and grab. Not just today but the whole season.

The luck of our season, lose our goalkeeper, who happens to be decent at saving penalties, and then concede a penalty.

Whichever way you go, get your scarf out of the window. That never happens any more. Used to take such pride in showing my colours as a nipper and spotting all the other scarves on the motorway. UTMFR shocked you have space for a scarf ;) I got me a Chrysler, it sits about 20, so hurry up… I'll bri...

Re: No programmes anymore
There was a fanzine in the mid-90's. Would have been '94 or '95 when I went into school on a Monday morning and my teacher had left his copy from the weekend on my desk for me. Stashed away in the attic somewhere at the moment but the front page was something about "Rushden Anne Diamonds"....

Tavon Campbell and Joss Labadie in the Solihull Moors side that beat Halifax (who included Luke Summerfield) 4-2 in the first of the National League play offs tonight. Amazed to discover that Summerfield was only 23/24 years old in his season here - he looked about 30 back then, thought there's no ...

Re: The board could help
I have a question about this topic. Which is it? Do those who advocate this want the BOD to agree to take money out to the club "kitty" to help pay for supporters to travel to Stevenage or is the proposal that the Directors themselves should dig into their own pockets and personally subsi...

"Bloxham's plan" according to some morons on Facebook, whatever that's supposed to mean. I'm not really surprised by it, though. Judging by the announcement a week or two they don't always sell out, as they said at half time they'll still be on sale from the club shop after the game. And t...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Peterborough United
With our budget expect a slightly more mobile Joe Nuttall Would be interesting to see how far he could develop with the next pre season under his belt. After all, within two games he was winning most headers and flick ons! I'd keep him on if we can, but it's been mentioned elsewhere that he's paid ...

Ticket bought! We need to win and either for Cambridge to lose (away to Port Vale) or Burton to fail to win (away to Fleetwood). Who believes in miracles? Apart from Hot Chocolate, I mean... In order to aid the aforementioned miracle, I'm going to continue to be extremely pessimistic and not watch ...

I'll give the final table next week as I only have access to my phone this week, and it's a reet pain trying to update the table on it.

Re: tinker man and next season
FGR hired a New Zealander as a professional CEO last summer. Marcus Reynolds. It didn't really help them and he was gone long before they were relegated. And they're still a mess. He didn't really care about the club, it was just a job and an opportunity for him. Given we wouldn't be able to afford ...
