Re: Cost of relegation .
Some people still believe they require a hot sunny day, unfortunately. The reality now is that they're so efficient, they will generate at least some charge at night, if there's a particularly bright moon. Anyone with solar lights in their garden should know you don't need a sunny day to charge the...

A gain of £4000 as opposed to a loss of probably what...£80+k a year? The electricity bills must be massive for football clubs, especially ones without LED floodlights.

Will Goodwin is a Championship player  How much do we get for him...ahem...helping Oxford to promotion??? I hope there was a clause, and not for him scoring X goals  The pundits banging on about Des Buckingham and what a job he's done to turn them around, conveniently forgetting that the...

Re: Cost of relegation .
Wouldn't of thought costs will go down anywhere near as much as the income will. Presumably the playing budget will be the same (Can it go any lower?), Much smaller gates due to lack of travelling fans but cant see stadium running costs dropping much with smaller away support. Pretty sure the playi...

Looking like it'll be Oxford that finish bottom of the Championship next season, at the moment.
Quite frankly staggering if they get promotion. They were awful in both games against us, even though we lost the away with several players out.

Re: Cost of relegation .
The way I see it, if every club is getting paid the same amount, it isn’t much of a benefit. Yes, it helps pay the bills, but I’d assume players/agents will want a bit more money, knowing all the clubs are receiving more, etc. Inflation, and all that. The more well off clubs are still the more well ...

It won't go. Seems like the other clubs have made it known they want it to stay. I'd imagine it's probably just Wolves, Forest and maybe a couple of other clubs towards the bottom that want it gone. But as has been widely said, there's not that much wrong with the system, it's the incompetent people...

Not 100% he is still a League One player if I'm being honest, and this isn't meant to disrespect him, but even though he won our player of the season award and was our top scorer, he didn't have a huge amount of opposition, did he. I'm not sure he gets in anything other than a struggling L1 team. Ev...

always remember a video of city fans on a bus and they make a joke about a "collection" for CTFC and passed a bag around which was then spat in by various supporters. wouldn't want anything to do with them. Probably not the insult you think it is. That’s legal tender in the slums of Glouc...

And Agent Grant McCann has seen to it that we're no longer the only team to have blown a 2 goal first-leg play-off lead at home. Fair play to Crewe, but gutting for Grant after that incredible run to then blow it like that. Assuming he stays and keeps the majority of his team together, they've got t...

Just had a proper "wait, what?!" moment. Apparently Jermaine McGlashan has won the first promotion of his managerial career, taking Croydon up via the play-offs. As surprising as it is that McGlashan has gone into management, (to me, he didn't seem like the type of player that usually beco...

Got to be bent. They literally had the same thing down the other end for a Real goal that was ruled out 10 minutes earlier which went to VAR. Not only on this occasion does the lino put his flag up too soon but the ref acknowledges it and blows his whistle... I've seen a lino mistakenly put his flag...

Re: Robins Trust Email - Cheltenham Town: Building for the Future
I see membership has somewhat surged in the 8 days since this statement was made, proving that the Trust showing some intent and challenging the board is what the core fanbase wants. I think I saw that it was just under 270, and had climbed to 351 the day before last.

Re: Big TV/streaming changes for next season
Just had a look through last season's fixtures and, although it's not easy to remember which games were originally scheduled for Tuesday's and which were Saturday postponements, I think we had 12 games throughout the season that were scheduled not to be on a Saturday at 3pm. That includes the Christ...

It is insane that 13 months ago we drew with them and now they're Premier League bound and we got relegated. Football is bonkers. Much like at the start of this season when Birmingham came and beat us 3-0 in the Carabao Cup first round, and but for one or two decisions different throughout the seaso...

Re: Former players
Tozer was a key player for us and although I'm not advocating he return to us he would be a like for like replacement for Curtis Davies. Interesting to compare the 200k we held out for when Wrexham signed him as a 31 year old with and the 250-300k we are getting for Alfie. Both of similar age and a...

Unless I'm mistaken, we're due a new home strip for the start of next season. Anyone know why? I seem to remembe...

Just seen that the legendary Danny Wright, who got 22 goals and 10 assists on the way to the National League title, has announced his retirement at 39.
