Re: 500 club deals completed

Hear hear.

The behind the scenes costs of a football club people rarely think about. £8k for a lawn mower and £13k for a washer and drier, most people would probably think it's about the same price for these as for your home, about £1500 maybe

Shame if Mr Godfrey is now having to miss games during our most successful spell for decades, after attending so many disappointing group, second round and QF defeats.

So happy. We deserved that, even if it was a bit of a dodgy penalty. And we have had our fair share of terrible decisions go against us over the years...

One more time.

Re: Bath City v Cheltenham Town

Was Dulson a trialist? I got the impression he was someone Flynn liked for a while and has now taken the plunge on him. That's not to say he wasn't - it's just this is the first time I've seen it referred to. I didn't see anything about him being a trialist here. Flynn had him on trial at Walsall, ...

So the trialists are Luke Hallett, Deon Moore and Harrison Sohna. All 3 played at Cleeve. I'm assuming Moore has started up front with Taylor and the other two are on the bench and will play the second half. Meanwhile, second friendly of the season and both Pett and Pell have been booked inside 16 m...

Re: Lincoln is an ambitious club

We all know there are a myriad of different reasons why we don't get bigger crowds and they have all been aired many times before. We have been to Wembley and the Millennium Stadium and taken triple, quadruple or more times fans than we see at WR. Most of those fans that went to those games (who are...

Re: Lincoln is an ambitious club

What I find frustrating about this can be summed up in the population numbers for Lincoln and Cheltenham, and then comparing those figures with average League attendance for both clubs: Cheltenham population 116,000 Lincoln population 110,000 Lincoln City FC average attendance 2023/24 = 8,400 Chelt...

I think there should be something where, ok, Labour have won the seats that they have won but, with less than 10m votes overall, less than a fifth of the country voting for them, they shouldn’t have all the voting powers that they normally would with such a majority. I don’t know how it would work, ...

Well, we’re at the stage now where I don’t really care how bad we play as long as we win. Thankful for any semi-finals and beyond, we have been so starved of them until the last 6 years. It would be nice if we turned up v the Dutch and did a Euro 96 to them, though.

And we did become champions. Confidence is still fairly low despite England definitely being better today...

If you look at the overall squad now, we have plenty of experience and some young players around them. We obviously need defenders still, and I don't think (hope) we will be plucking those from Torquay.

I'm sure none of us really care where the players come from or have been in the past as long as they turn out to be good enough. Interesting he mentions Archer can bring width in attacking areas - maybe Archer on one wing and Thomas on the other at times is an option now. Young and exciting wingers....

Reports suggesting Southgate might revert to 3 at the back v Switzerland, as I suggested a few posts ago.
