Whichever way you go, get your scarf out of the window. That never happens any more. Used to take such pride in showing my colours as a nipper and spotting all the other scarves on the motorway. Hello, public service broadcast from my Boro supporting but Cheltenham residing pal: "I would recommend going up the A46 to Coventry then taking the A45 / M45 to join the M1 to Luton and then let the sat nav guide you the remaining 8 miles" Sounds left-field to me (and NB he is travelling...

Re: No programmes anymore

There was a fanzine in the mid-90's. Would have been '94 or '95 when I went into school on a Monday morning and my teacher had left his copy from the weekend on my desk for me. Stashed away in the attic somewhere at the moment but the front page was something about "Rushden Anne Diamonds"...

Anyone know who the clubs are at our level who own their own grounds? It's murky but I understood Derby and Reading did own their grounds but that was moved to companies under their former/current owners. Portsmouth, Lincoln, Northampton and Wycombe own their grounds based on a google search, inter...

I'd keep him on if we can, but it's been mentioned elsewhere that he's paid more than we can afford at Oldham, so he's probably out of our price range. I think he's looked a real asset last couple of games, with further room to improve you'd expect. If Oldham were willing to get him off their wage ...

Tavon Campbell and Joss Labadie in the Solihull Moors side that beat Halifax (who included Luke Summerfield) 4-2 in the first of the National League play offs tonight. Amazed to discover that Summerfield was only 23/24 years old in his season here - he looked about 30 back then, thought there's no ...

What a strange post. Someone doesn't agree with your idea so you attack them completely. I agree with Shade and Oldun, the board shouldn't pay for fans to go on Saturday. We're supporters - the clue is in the name. If you can afford to go and have the time, then get there. If you can't, then no jud...

Perception might be worse than reality. 2 hrs 20 via the A40, so roughly the same as Exeter. The club say “just over 800” more tickets allocated. On top of the 500 already sold that means we have presumably been given the whole end of 1390. If they sell out Stevenage can also make a further 610 seats available for away fans in the main stand taking the total allocation up to 2000. I could ...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Peterborough United

It's definitely lacking and very noticeable how our midfield has improved when it's Bonds/Pett rather than Pett/Kinsella. Would love to see us add big powerful and pacy forward (similar to Jones for Posh) who can give us an outlet and let us play on the counter attack in the summer no matter which ...

The majority of fans won't travel on coach, seems a bit unfair to do this, better to put money behind the bar at the ground so fans can have a beer or two. Not quite as bad as that. Per Google Maps, 0758 train from Chelt to London should get you to Stevenage by 1128 (3 trains and a bus). I’m planning to pre-position to London on Friday though, which will be even easier. Similar plan myself. Am taking in a visit to Bletchley on Friday before heading on...

Enjoyed that. You would think we had more shots on target last night than we have had for the last 10 games. Big Joe is like a man transformed. Kinsella had a good second half keeping their speed kings under control. Very unlucky not to score more but at least we were having a go.

Sounds like Peterborough are going to field a reserve team so all we can do is win that game and go into the final day with some hope. Peterborough playing a bunch of fresh-legged, decent squad players with loads to prove, frankly, terrifies me. Reminds me of when all we had to beat was the Reading...

My memory prevents me from remembering the particular game. But I beleive it was a relegation decider where the opposition had a breakaway and I sat in the CF praying for our defender to take one for the team. It was like Deja vu yesterday.

I am of the opinion that this is all academic. There seemed to be a gulf between the manager and the chairman during the forum. To the extent that I don't believe he will choose to remain. I am sure there will be other options available to him next season
