Re: Former players

On this question of May and his true "worth", I think some people are missing an important point, namely that you are not actually buying a player, you are buying his contract. And with a couple of years (more?) left on his Charlton contract, that is always going to cost Hudds (or s.o. els...

I'm really confused by the approach so far. From my understanding the two things we were supposedly going for are: - stability - emphasis on younger players with resale value So far anyone whose been around for any length of time has been let go including staff and we've signed a bunch of players w...

From memory - never been to the new ground - I'm guessing they must have owned the old one, and it was sold for housing. The tyre makers owned acres of Burton in that era. I was at their stadium (checks notes...) on Boxing Day 2017, they lost 2-1 to Leeds. Have to say I was impressed by what I saw ...

Baraclough is off to Dundalk I thought? No, Dundalk have just appointed someone else. Probably unfair on him but I really would find that an uninspiring appointment. He may not be "inspiring", in eg a Steve Cotterill or Darryl Clarke sort of way, but I'd say he's competent and a safe pair...
