Ryan Broom on the scoresheet for Fleetwood.

Cameron Peupion scores for what I presume is a Brighton u21 team in the National League Cup, whatever that is.

Re: Will Ferry - Disrespectful?

If you have no interest in rugby, that may be the reason you don't know anyone who goes to watch, hence your positive reinforcement of your belief that hardly anyone in Cheltenham is interested. In my little road in Cricklade, Wilts, out of 10 near neighbours, I'd say 3 of them are semi-regular at K...

Actually not a bad shout: then, on the day of the match, just set fire to it to ensure the pitch is thawed at least to stud-level.

Re: Evolution of Goalkeepers

"Pressing high up the pitch" is, I would imagine, relatively easy to coach and carries less risk for the attacking team than "playing it out from the back" does for the defending team. A L2 team is more likely to have an effective press than a consistent bunch of keepers/defender...

Evolution of Goalkeepers

This is an interesting article on BBC Sport: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cp3z0wx3x54o The stats are very Premiership-focused, obviously, but the general story is applicable to all levels. I remarked at a recent game that we no longer try to play it out from the back quite so much -...

Don't forget that everybody left at the start of the summer. We needed bodies in shirts and Pell was available. Can't imagine why else he was re-signed. Our squad was being rebuilt from the ground up - in my opinion, with a view of mid-table survival (anything higher being a bonus). Pell fits that.

Newport game called off today. Comment on the BBC page made me laugh out loud: "Should have been called off yesterday, the club and officials knew the pitch was not going to be playable."

Re: Game OFF

We could recoup some of the cost by selling our existing covers to another club as, contrary to popular opinion, there were quite a lot of matches postponed in England, today. Granted, we were the 'biggest' - but someone had to be.
