Re: Lincoln is an ambitious club

I was born nearer to Lincoln than Cheltenham, but I have never been to Sincil Bank Ditto. Lincoln City was never on my radar but I did go to York Street, Boston, a couple of times before moving to Cheltenham for work. Got dragged to Whaddon Road by a girlfriend and thoroughly enjoyed the gutter-lev...

Amateurs. So non-league. Only Reading. Sack the board. Not even a pack of pork scratchings or a friendly.

I don't know what Labour's position on PR was - but I suspect they are likewise against it, now!

PR would doubtless result in more hung parliaments, making any legislation difficult.

The pass back to the keeper from a corner (not directly - but, still...) takes some beating! Honourable mention for the free-kick just inside the Swiss half that went backwards to the defence.

40% of the British public didn't even vote so they have no right to any opinions, hereafter.

I'm surprised at you, though, Mal: using turnout figures in that way is like admitting that only 25% of the British people voted to leave the EU...

Bit like Man Ure fans who forget that there was football before the Premiership when comparing titles versus Liverpool.

Make sure you vote, today. If you genuinely believe all politicians are the same and you don't want to vote - attend and spoil your ballot with "None of the above". Believe it or not, these are all counted, too. Whoever you vote for - get out there and vote! Personally, I'd make it compuls...

Re: Lincoln is an ambitious club

Older club than us in terms of FL football. No County cricket nor first-class rugby to contend with. Hard to compare to Cheltenham.

The insinuation from Street has to be read as "Cheltenham aren't ambitious", though.

Actually, I'm pretty certain it will be 15% of any gain over what they paid us. That makes it (900 - 250) * 15% = £97.5k.

It's the standard reason as to why we don't make early signings: all the players we are ever linked to are "on holiday for a couple of weeks". Players linked to other teams *never* take holidays and are always available for signatures. Hey, I don't make the rules - that's just how it works.

Even after Kane's goal, we immediately sat back. Yes, I fear a like-for-like replacement at the back. Also, if Shaw still isn't fit four games in, wtf have we wasted a squad number on him for???

Agreed about Toney - he made a huge difference when he came on.

The Dutch goal was a weird one... I'd have allowed it - but I completely see why it was ruled out. What got me is the way the offside Dutchman sheepishly walked away after the ball hit the net and didn't celebrate with his team-mates - I think he knew he was in the wrong place.
