Is anyone else concerned about the gentrification of the terraces, these days...?RegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 18:19 The only game I have ever left early. Partly because we wanted to get back to the antiques shop in the cattle market before it closed to buy a coal scuttle we spotted pre-match.

Also, I find that ubiquitous feckin' dog that walks along those electronic boards, irrationally irritating and distracting.
But if it allows us to show the match clock and score on the scoreboard, I'd put up with the dog.

The problem is, we have a single fixed camera that is in the CF stand. From an advertising perspective, the ideal place to have these electronic boards is directly opposite, in front of the Main stand - where, as you say, it's maybe not practical.

I'd second you if you put your name forward for candidacy, Robin. If the singing section or whatever it's called has a seat on the shadow board, surely the club's only fans forum should have one.

Carlisle have a full-time CEO. They also have a bigger fan base than us and more 'history', for sure. I'd be willing to bet they had a bigger playing budget, too. He's sure helped steady their ship. Re: Released and Retained
Was it that good a team, though? I'd definitely take prime Hussey, Long, Freestone and Flinders - and May, Wright and Sercombe obviously goes without saying. Griffiths was not as good as Flinders, but 'ok' at the time; Tozer, despite his attacking threat (which I'd have him in today's squad for), wa...

So that confirms Bowman was still our player, thinking about another recent thread where it was stated that he had already been released. Disappointed to see Bakare made available - but I guess Bradbury was in that position last summer, but now he's been stand-in captain and offered a new deal. I fi...

Re: Possible ins and outs
Bakare is a funny one, as he’s shown glimpses of being a capable defender at this level (and admittedly a few glimpses to the contrary…) Tbf, you could apply the same description to Stubbs... I'd like to see Bakare stay, I think. Maybe not first choice CB but, as you say, he's decent enough cover a...

The competition for worst game and goal of the season will be fierce and I think I'll leave that until I get a short list! Best game: I simply cannot think of a single game where we played two halves of noteworthy football. There were several where we played really well for 45 minutes - the last pro...
