Cycling to games
As my car is in for a service and MOT, last night I decided to ride to the match. I thought it might become a regular thing as the cost of fuel keeps rising and everyone seems to be trying to do something to help reduce emissions. I’m even sure the FA or EFL are trying to promote sustainable travel ...

CTFC Vs Blackpool 2003
Been stuck indoors for the last 6 days with a family full of positive CV cases so while dodging the wife with the paintbrushes and toolbox I have been finding time to go through my old Cheltenham records and came across an anomaly that maybe someone here might remember and can correct my records. 20...

Be interesting to see the top 10/15 youngest players bet most are in the last 5 years in the EFL Trophy which is one of the good things about the trophy gives younger players a chance

Re: Questions for Andy Wilcox
Having watched on Ifollow a few games I have seen quite a few people in the ground not all are directors or 'guests of directors' For example I have seen people from the ticket office in attendance. Are the club letting in a small handful of volunteers to watch as a thank you for the hard work they ...

Having seen the video clips of him they look like standard saves and blocks that you would expect from a keeper but as always when signing a young up and coming keeper its always a risk you could get a Butland or you could get a Russell Griffiths.

Former Players Association
Just read on Twitter that the Former Players association has decided to call it a day and disband. Such a shame as it was always good to see some rare faces back at Whaddon Road like Simon Cooper, Dale Watkins and Dave Norton. Improved my match day experience as I’m sure it did others even if you co...

Re: Match programme vs. Carlisle United
Unfortunately the match day programme is starting to become a thing of the past all over football. Non league teams produce online versions more and more these days for free, there still basically 90% adverts anyway. Our programme has been the same for a number of years now and pretty much the same ...

Sad news
Lets hope the Former Player association can get some of these older players to games next season so us older fans can remissness and also give them a thank you for being part of our history. Its nice too see former players but I always hope that they are from earlier times than 1998.

Re: Two reject offers, three released, three on list
No real surprises in the released players even with Forster I suspected he would go anyway and the only surprise with those leaving is Nige but obviously another offer is in with better terms. Bingham leaving is no shock surprised we even signed him to be honest rarely played and when he did couldn’...

Re: Worcester City v Robins 1968
Judging by the mention of Tony Cook in goal for us who must have been pushing 40 in 1968, I can only assume it was a weakened team from us probably if I remember rightly (which isnt always the case) using many young players we did similar things in the Boarder Counties League (theres one for the his...

Are players still playing for a future at the club? Has anyone caused you to have a change of mind about them since your first few sessions? Does Duku still have a future at the club? I really want Duff to succeed but I cant help feeling that he was/is the wrong appointment at this time for us. When Gary left we had just got our 1st point of the season. Great article this one mainly because it’s about a player from before the football league years so a proper blast from the past, but also it’s about a lad I was at school with and he became a school hero being at Bristol City and then Cheltenham.

Back in 1999 I remember being excited about the prospect of being in the football league and the potential for big games.
