Re: Lots going on this week…
To be fair, the email only said the season tickets would be released this week. The rest is during the summer.

Re: Professionalising 'little old Cheltenham'
As I said, I'm not really either for or against it.
I just don't think it's the guaranteed win some people seem to think it is.

Re: Professionalising 'little old Cheltenham'
I'm with you paperboy, and I posted as much upthread. Whilst there are only a few clubs that don't have CEOs, that means all the clubs in turmoil also have one. FGR for example, and Carlisle. I'm not saying we shouldn't have one, but I can't get away from the fact that as soon as we have one and the...

Robins Trust Email - Cheltenham Town: Building for the Future
Have received an excellent email from the Trust designed with the future of both the club and the Trust going forward. It is extremely long winded so won't post everything, but here's the main parts: The Trust's Statement The Robins Trust is keen to work with Cheltenham Town Football Club on a strat...

Re: New strip
I only really recall the 06/07 and 08/09 strips going on sale before the season's end. The 06/07 one was worn in the playoff final, and the 08/09 one was worn for the Doncaster survival game (also the last time we've released new home and away kits at the same time as it was Mira's first year as spo...

Re: Retained list
I find the offering of Luke Southwood a new contract odd when he's already said he's going on Twitter. If he'd already rejected it, it would say he's been offered and turned it down (I'm sure we said that with Ryan Jackson last season). I question whether his offers elsewhere may have dried up follo...

Re: Darrell Clarke after Stevenage defeat
It was mainly Mike Duff who helped to make May the player he is! Hang on, wasn't Wade the coach at that time...? I'm confused about the arguments being used, now. Like so many Facebook 'discussions' I've had the misfortune to get into on CTFC posts, I'm done with this one... There's just no coheren...

Re: Darrell Clarke after Stevenage defeat
Here's one for you WE or DC WE or MA? WE or BG? Who cares? Do I think DC is a better manager than WE? Yes, of course I do! Does that make WE a bad manager? No, it really doesn't. Honestly, there's a couple of posts here that take 'disingenuity' to a whole new level. "WE was lucky cos he had Ma...

Re: Darrell Clarke after Stevenage defeat

Re: Darrell Clarke after Stevenage defeat
Now you're just being facetious. How about, after the 13th September 2022 (game 8) we spent no time at all in the relegation zone? It was also our 6th season in the third tier, so every chance we could have come outside the top 5 highest finishes. But we didn't end up outside the top 5 finishes, we ...

The club's been rudderless since he left and that can't be denied.
I don't think we need a CEO - it seems that between him and PG, that's exactly what we had.

Re: Rumour season opens
Whilst I'm not convinced on Moore coming back, I am open to an experienced DOF coming in. I don't think Russ fits that mould. DC has worked with DOF's at Bristol Rovers and Vale, so he'd no doubt be receptive to it. If it's Moore, then so be it. He was a success here last time (probably not as much ...

Re: Rumour season opens
The Moore rumour is strange and seems to have come from nowhere.
I'm open to it. I may not be a huge fan of his ego, but you can't argue with his results. Much like some players and managers just suit certain clubs, perhaps the same can be said of DOFs.

Re: Darrell Clarke after Stevenage defeat
Are you sure you know who you're talking to in that post? I've not seen a single post from asl bashing the board. Wade was not a poor appointment. His first year proves that. DC has even said that Wade's hands were completely tied in the summer. Imagine turning up to work as a football manager and h...

Yes, I noticed a few Stevenage players turn to acknowledge us at the end. Unlike the bellend Sweeney shushing us when they scored the penalty. Re: Farewells
Highly probable Pett, Sloggett These two are real unknowns, I’d say. Pett came here for Darrell. Whether Darrell stays or not will surely be the key factor. Sloggett has looked promising and one of the reasons he’s here is because his girlfriend plays for Bristol City and the location suits him. I’...
