Re: assistant manager

Yes we have and typically before successful seasons (albeit where we've generally had a solid base to work from). The season we bounced back we announced several signings of experienced players within days and weeks. Granted at that point we were one of the big boys of the league in terms of budget/...

Re: assistant manager

It really feels like we are stuck in a holding pattern for now with nothing going on externally whilst the club sorts itself out internally. At the same time we are slipping behind our league two rivals who are making good signings. Deja vu ! Shades of last pre-season debacle ? That is indeed my co...

Re: Robins Report Podcast

It is totally unacceptable for posters to resort to offensive remarks about the BOD on here. Why the Board Members carry on serving in the face of such abuse is a mystery. Clearly Mr Bence has had enough and it will be amazing if others don't follow suit. They are volunteers doing this job in spare...

Not a lot of movement so far but I will update as we go through the summer. Of the early moves I would have taken Matty Stevens or Aaron Hayden here personally as they would be been a great fit in key positions which we need.

I don't think the land would be big enough for a new stadium would it? Assuming it would hold 10,000 with corporate facilities I just can't see it fitting there.

Re: Cost of relegation .

The way I see it, if every club is getting paid the same amount, it isn’t much of a benefit. Yes, it helps pay the bills, but I’d assume players/agents will want a bit more money, knowing all the clubs are receiving more, etc. Inflation, and all that. The more well off clubs are still the more well...

I remember the Lincoln chairman a few years back saying that the jump from L2 to L1 was the hardest in the league because income rises a little bit, but costs go up much more. The question for me is do we have a net gain or loss associated with relegation? Income Gate money - down Commercial revenu...

Just listening in to this now, don't know who is speaking from the trust but they are doing a tremendous job and mirroring a lot of my thoughts about what is wrong. We have well intentioned amateurs running the board and it leads to a resource bottleneck so we miss out on multiple revenue streams.

A CEO would be more beneficial to the club than some of the "players" we have on the books . Presumably you are talking about squad players who are likely earning relatively low wages of maybe £40-60k a year, some maybe less than that. What sort of CEO is going to come to us on those sort...

I'm with you paperboy, and I posted as much upthread. Whilst there are only a few clubs that don't have CEOs, that means all the clubs in turmoil also have one. FGR for example, and Carlisle. I'm not saying we shouldn't have one, but I can't get away from the fact that as soon as we have one and th...

I'm unsure what to make of that, are the board reacting to approaches from other clubs or pro-actively trying to tie down a key asset in hope of achieving a promotion push next year and maximizing season ticket sales. Let's hope it's the latter.

Yes the Morecambe owners are the same ones who ran Worcester rugby into the ground. They have had the club up for sale for over a year now but not sold as nobody will meet their asking price. That's seen a lot of key staff and players leave and they are stuck in a downward spiral. I fully agree ther...

Now look at what a CEO achieved at Morecambe, doubling their crowds, record season ticket sales and their commercial income. It's a no brainer so long as we get the right person into role it can pay for itself.

Taylor Moore went from on to have further loan spells with Blackpool, Heats and Shrewsbury, as well as a few more games with Bristol City. Haven't we a decent record with loanee centre halves? Off the top of my head Michael Hector , Rob Dickie, Cameron Burgess, Jamie Pollocks lad, Greaves.
