Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers

I know everything seems worse when you're doing s#!t. But at half time, where's the music? Jim Haggin didn't even commentate on the crossbar challenge, just quickly read out the names half way through. Everything seems so f#!$ amateur right now in every department.

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers

The goalkeeper seems to actually be injured for once, the defence is an absolute mess, the midfield is virtually non-existant and the strikers haven't had a touch around the opposition penalty box, and both of our relegation rivals are winning. Other than that, it's fine.

There's a surprise. 10 mins and we gift them a goal because they're playing their fastest player up against Davies and we are too thick to realise

Re: 8 games,no wins and zero goals scored.

"How s#!t must you be, we've scored a goal" might be sung first. Also, on the Wade comment, it's pretty accurate. First 12 games we were c!#p. Next 24 we were a top half team. Final 12, so far, back to the same dross as the first quarter. Although we are scoring the odd goal now, a lot of ...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United

Something else that popped into my head; if this game had been played when it was scheduled, it would have almost certainly been 3 points to us. We'd just beaten Portsmouth at home and were playing well. It seems like even when we have played well this season, everything else has gone against us, be...

It's a tale as old as time. After Tuesday, I should be raring to go for tomorrow but, even though I'll be there, I have pretty much no enthusiasm. I almost feel like if we do score and win I'll be a grumpy b#!#%#d still sitting down and shouting "it's a bit f#!$ late now!", even if it is s...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United

I'd just have Kinsella or Bonds holding, with Sercombe and Harrop buzzing in and around behind the "strikers", one or t'other dropping deep to get the ball when necessary. The Gas haven't scored for 8 games, do we need 2 holding defenders in front of 3 centre backs? We need goals... It rea...

Re: Darrel Clarke after Carlisle defeat

He's in a lose-lose situation. Not sticking up for DC, per se, as he shouldn't have bothered waiting for half time again when it obviously wasn't working. But, if he'd left it as it was again, and we'd played the same way as we did in the first half against Exeter and Orient, then he'd be getting st...

For me, all this began with the disastrous five minutes at home to Reading.
If you're going back to that, why not 10 or so days earlier when we lost a 1-0 lead in the 89th minute and lost 2-1 to Orient.

Amazed DC changed the formation in a game which was going to be massive in our survival hopes. Clearly wasn't working after 25 mins and did nothing to change it. And it's cost us the game. Saying that back to normal formation second half, despite being the better side we were never going to score. Y...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United

I think that (as written elsewhere on here) we've got one of the smallest squads in League One. The stress of playing Tuesday/Saturday for four weeks at the end of the season (along with injuries to big players like Matt Taylor/Freestone) is proving too much - and we haven't got the players or the ...

Hopefully they haven't got anyone with any pace! Long, Davies, Bradbury...even Williams really. I guess Williams might have edged it over Ferry as it's a defensive full back role.
