Re: tinker man and next season
I am of the opinion that this is all academic. There seemed to be a gulf between the manager and the chairman during the forum. To the extent that I don't believe he will choose to remain. I am sure there will be other options available to him next season

Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum
I would question how you could build a Business plan that is to a certain extent based on your ability to develop and sell players. It is a laudable goal to have, but surely it is partly based on luck? I am struggling to understand how you can depend on spotting an unearthed talent, persuade them t...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Lincoln City
Another goal given away. We had something like seven defenders standing there watching their player hit the ball in the net, not one of them went to block the shot. Such poor defending. Sercombe stoodright beside nim watched the ball come down then watched him put it in the net without doing anythi...

Re: Peterborough - home tickets
I’m shocked to be honest. The seats have been consistently selling out across the CF stand and the main stand has been packed throughout the season. Not sure what’s happening and why people aren’t turning up when it actually matters. Our League 1 status will be decided over these next two games!! I...

Re: Open Letter to the Board
What? We so 'dearly need' a new stand? You might well be alone in thinking the existing main stand is fit for purpose - even amongst the board. I would respectfully suggest you stop "chatting sh1t" - but, better still, why not let another poster express their views without verbally abusin...

Re: Peterborough - home tickets
Block 6 almost sold out. Plenty of seats in the main stand. Block 7 completely empty. Block 8 now not even on sale. This is, frankly, a pathetic response by the people of Cheltenham. Their club needs them, and they've responded with apathy. I’m shocked to be honest. The seats have been consistently...

Re: TONIGHT: 2023/24 Club Annual Shareholders Meeting and Fans’ Forum
I'm a bit confused with the backlash against selling players to breakeven or make a profit. Its not luck to sell a player but a clear part of the club's business plan. We develop and improve players, give them experience with the aim to make a profit on them. At L1 level, with average attendances a...

Re: Deciding games
Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere else but Pett, Keena, Freestone all out for the last 3 and Lloyd touch and go aswell. At least we're well stocked for LCBs and CMs. As for forwards, lets just hope MT can hold together. Never fear, I am a free agent and will be bringing an old pair of bo...

Re: Deciding games
Lincoln will be our hardest game by far, as far as I'm concerned. They're in great form, just beat Oxford away to close the gap to the last play-off spot and did it with 10 men for the last 20 mins or so. Plus, we have a c!#p recent record against them. Peterborough I think may be starting to think...

Re: Peterborough - home tickets
Seats not selling very well, maybe the board were right. Last home game on a sat this season and plenty left, shame. I would say it is a consequence of the questionable strategy of not immediately making the seats available for home fans, but rather playing stupid games almost in the hope that we ca...

Once Joe got wound up by the Burton defender he was immense. Hopefully he will be the same on Saturday,Perhaps he wants to stay here. I thought that as well, definitely improved when he was pissed off. Bonds also improved after he got the smack in the face. So...maybe DC needs to get in their faces...

Re: Destiny is in our hands
Maybe im alone in thinking this but i am actually frustrated in the position we are currently in. 10 matches ago we had decent momentum but have fallen of a cliff form wise. We are only still in it due to Burton and Vale being similarly woeful. The turning point for me was January we had a chance t...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers
Despite what some will have you believe, we'll have one of the lowest budgets next season regardless of what division we're in. The club is skint and has no facility to make money outside of football itself. Staying in League One every season is a miracle. And that barely 4000 Robins fans turned up...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers
Amazingly, in a team that conceded three goals, I thought Shepherd was one of the bright lights yesterday. He is always making himself available and is happy to get the ball. Has shown that he can take the ball forward and is confident. If we need someone for Taylor (and maybe Keena), to feed off t...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers
So, would you not play Lloyd? Who would you replace him with? I was in fact supporting your case that there is no point in getting on the players backs as it seems to be purely the case that they are not good enough for who we are playing against. As far as GL is concerned, he opinion I was putting...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers
Lloyd's value to the team is his energy, chasing, tenacity, winning the ball, and setting up goalscoring chances. I agree, it would be great if he also scored a few goals as well, though I suspect if he did, we would struggle to hold on to him! Therein lies the frustration of supporting a club like...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers
Darrell Clarke is the reason we weren't relegated weeks ago. We have the smallest budget in L1 and, I believe, the smallest squad. To compound this, we have walking wounded and simply don't have the cover and strength in depth enjoyed by other clubs in this league. DC has taken his share of any bla...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Bristol Rovers
This is Darryl Clarke’s abject team. He hasn’t convinced me he is the right man to get us back on track in League Two. Does Steve Cotterill want to be a non league manager? Maybe he could be persuaded to return? He had an opportunity to come back before DC was taken on but he turned us down for the...

I was ill (covid, if the result of the test kit that was beyond its expiration date is to be believed) so couldn't attend. So, objectively, why did we lose today? 1. We gave the Gas a handful of extra tickets. 2. The referee was corrupt. 3. The referee's grandfather used to fly a Bristol Beaufort d...

Re: 8 games,no wins and zero goals scored.
Rovers were awful on Tuesday, by accounts. Reading fans felt they cruised it and it was one of their most comfortable games of the season. 4-0 would have been more reflective of Reading's dominance. Is it possible to get a bet on how quickly we'll hear Rovers fans singing "How s#!t must you be...

It's a tale as old as time. After Tuesday, I should be raring to go for tomorrow but, even though I'll be there, I have pretty much no enthusiasm. I almost feel like if we do score and win I'll be a grumpy b#!#%#d still sitting down and shouting "it's a bit f#!$ late now!", even if it is ...
