Re: New signing number 2 announced
Good stuff. Hopefully better on the ball and a bit fleeter of foot than Boyle. Left of the back three, with Raglan in the centre. Just need a versatile CB who can play to the right of Raglan but cover across the back three when needed - although Lewis fits that bill quite nicely. Lewis to the right?

Re: SEAN DYCHE SACKED
As others have mentioned above, with Burnley’s new owners and their leveraged purchase of the club saddling it with debt I’m far from convinced that this would be a good move for MD at the present time despite the obvious attraction given his successful playing (and coaching) career there. Whilst it...

Re: Dan Crowley departs
I tend to agree with the sentiments above. Whilst there is no doubting his talent I'd thought for quite a while that there seemed to be very little end-product in terms of goals and assists. Couple this with a high wage and the need to significantly change the shape of the team to accommodate him an...

Anyone know if there are still any spaces on the coaches tomorrow?
Emailed and called ticket office today but no response as yet and there was no option to buy online, only to purchase match tickets.
TIA.

I remember looking over the back of the stand at Gillingham some years back to see a bloke dragging a washing machine up the street - literally scraping it along the road leaving white paint on the tarmac. Summed the place up - what a shit-hole.

Could be wise if it speeds up Bruce’s departure which is what the fans want. Also shows like the other team in the NE they turn on their own manager / team quite easily. TOXIC. They have been against Bruce from day one so hardly quick. They never turned on Benitez even though he got the same number...

The EU have a shortage of HGV drivers of around 400,000 and this will only get worse next year. I believe Germany alone has a shortage of around 80,000 so it simply cannot be attributed solely to Brexit. However the UK does not have a shortage of ADR drivers which is the real point regarding fuel d...

The impact of Brexit continues to unravel. As a country we do not have enough people skilled, willing or otherwise to take on those jobs that were dominated by European tax paying migrants, in fields such as meat processing, fruit picking, transport and a whole range of other areas. The idea that u...

Duffo said he won’t chop and change keepers but he’s done it again. I do think he should stick with one keeper. Rotate the squad for these games yes but who ever is going to be the keeper then stick with him as I feel the rotation of that position is not good for continuity I think it's more a case...

So, after everything comes out in the wash… Germany (at Wembley), then Sweden/Ukraine, then Netherlands/Czech/Wales/Denmark stand between us and the final. Had we done as some had hoped and deliberately thrown the Czech Rep game to try and finish second then it would have been Spain (in Copenhagen)...

Who would be an international manager? The first thing to consider is that international football is as much about not losing as it is about winning. Most winners of international tournaments had a cautious mindset - often playing with double pivots and often drawing lots of games (see Portugal, Eu...

You can't drop Kane: give him half a sniff of a chance and he'll stick it in the net - unlike Rashford and Sterling. Kane and Foden are the two genuinely world-class players in the squad. I fear for the defence (particularly if Maguire's fit) and Pickford is no Pope. Better England squads than this...

There was a quite a strong protest here on the Nest about the Gloucester City ground-share. As I recall, on one occasion RCS led from the front and took direct action. Expand the Premier League to 32 teams?
Why stop there? Perhaps we could add another 60 clubs, find some way of making sure that the money is distributed evenly and give all clubs the same voting rights. It could be called the Football League.

'F**k me, they've scored again!' was the full title if I recall correctly. Wasn't a bad effort, some decent humour here and there. 'The Robin' was superb. And?! What’s it got to do with the Covid loans? Last year Project Big Picture was leaked. That proposal was from the top clubs, for the Premier League to offer the EFL £250 million. Tbh I doubt many of our fans are expecting someone like Howe. Tough one to call. Even 2012 to 2021 the game has moved on a lot in terms of fitness and sports science. Apart from a few like Griff, Disco and Tyson what is noticeable about that squad is the lack of pace. The game has moved on in the last 20 years, and personally I feel more often than not that squad would struggle for pace in the modern game and very near the bottom of the league. Ok, I'll bite.
