Re: Loan striker
The guy hasn't played a minute since the 4th November. Oldham fans can't believe they've found a club to take him off their hands, let alone a League One club. Seriously what does Russell Milton actually do? It seems like the club have settled we'll be playing in League Two next season. We probably...

This is pathetic  £650,000 in sales.in last 7/8 months,a small cash injection for January and we sign a player on loan 2 divisions below. This is desperate stuff it really is. That £650k supports the playing budget. On gates of 4500 we ain't anywhere near financially competitive in L1 otherwis...

I read "attacking reinforcements and a left sidd" player. Where did you see one striker, QED?
And another departure too. Olayinka? Bradbury?

Re: Top target
Selling Goodwin is not a bad deal if we can replace him and turn a profit. L1 suicide if we can't. Is my point. L1 or Profit? Simple as that How about having a club or not having a club? The club needs to make money to stay afloat, that means selling our assets when offers that we consider reasonab...

Only if his preferred targets have already moved does he have to move down the list. Taylor may have been up there all along, just a question of waiting for him...we don't know. This window hasn't been wow, but the objective was to recruit two or three experienced players. Kinsella and Harrup tick t...

He's been named club president and I've no doubt that whilst he may not take a majority stake, he'll be injecting some funds. Bit like our shareholder donations..
Sensible from the PV board; leverage the name and his wealth, but without giving him complete control.

If Taylor wants to leave FGR, then he will. It's just a question of time and cutting a deal that's works. However, it might be that SCs appointment changes his mind. There will be contingencies in place. Of course they won't be first choice. But to even infer there aren't would be to accuse DC of un...

Re: Who ,/ What connects?
I'll have a stab at this one ..
1. All of them !
2. Probably not Nesty, at a wild guess, Kieran Hehir
3. Nesty and Kieran Hehir
4. At a wild guess, Nesty....
What's the prize? A job with Kohler Mira or a place on their quiz team????
Edit: is Guy Whittingham still a free agent?

Re: Bolton Wanderers v Cheltenham Town
There will be strikers out there with experience, perhaps free agents, like Pett and Harry's, who've had an injury hit last couple of years. That way, should we fail to stay up (and I think we will fall short), we don't end up in financial mire.
In DC we trust to get them signed up.

Re: Done deal
I love this belief that we can simply make Will Goodwin stay and continue performing at the same level for the rest of the season, despite depriving him of a move to a bigger club (and Oxford are bigger) to earn more money and potentially gain promotion. This isn't Fifa or Football Manager. Once cl...

Signed in November. Short term.Signed in January so as far as I am concerned ,one extra from the squad we had. Think the word you are looking for is , extended, To be fair, the official site says its an extension. https://www.ctfc.com/news/2024/january/tom-pett-signs-contract-extension/

Re: Goodwin
Presumably Stoke are taking up to 25% of the fee and its unlikely we get more than half up front so don't expect a big difference immediately but overall it seems like a reasonable deal so credit to our board and manager. Ultimately the time to decide whether this was a good deal or not will be in ...

We are a selling club. At this level we will always be a selling club. He was brought in with the hope of going on to make the club money in the future. The fact it's happened quicker than expected is neither here nor there. If a player performs well for Cheltenham, then bigger clubs (and nearly ev...

I just don't see why we would sell. Gives us the hassle of replacing him with little time to bed into the team for a replacement. And the money gained will not cover the cost of relegation. I believe the board wants what’s best for the club. I f that means we lose less money by being in League 2 then there’s your answer . Re: Goodwin
Let me counter this in a friendly and constructive way: 1. Any fee is very unlikely to be paid upfront so it's split usually over a number of seasons. If we sold Goodwin for £300k (which is low end surely) then we'd get likely half of that right now and remember we are tied to 60% of wages based on...
