Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United
I was at the game. The ironic jeers he received were in in sarcastic jest. One of the tallest and most athletic players on the pitch only won 2 headers...both unopposed. My 14 year old daughter would best him in the air. I became frustrated too...when he stopped jumping! We all like to be melodrama...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United
A poor result and another poor game of football we've seen this season despite win or lose. Despite being in L1, feels like the amount of competitive games we've seen down WR have been severely limited other than Wigan, Reading, Oxford, Port Vale and Portsmouth. There will be a good handful of club...

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United
Whilst on the subject of strikers I thought the abuse nuttall received last night was well out of line. Our club refused to reinvest the goodwin fee properly and ended up loaning a conference striker, have a go at the board not the player. Embarrassing how many jeers and sarcastic cheers you could h...

We will lose, they always up their game and will have their obnoxious baying mob driving them on in the hope of sending us down.

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United
We started with 3 up front yesterday Horlick and none of them looked like they knew how to play with each other. Harrop was lost so started coming to the wing to get the ball, Thomas was double marked and looked like a kid in mens football whilst whilst Nuttall didn't win a header or a flick on to ...

Surely not another 30 pieces of silver
With a match in 3 days and blocks 7 & 8 of the CF still blocked out. Are the board still thinking about who to sell the tickets to??????
Surely to God they wouldn't have the stupidity to give them to Bristol Rovers??? If they have, it is feet up in front of the fire for me

Re: Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United
What has happened to Sloggett? He looked good against Oxford and Barnsley but has disappeared since, is he injured or what? Desperately need some fresh legs in midfield. Was thinking the exact same. Very strange if he isn't injured that he has now fallen below even Olayinka despite two promising sh...

Re: Squad rebuild this summer
The problem we face is that if we lose players like Freestone, Bonds and Lloyd then financially we will struggle. They came up with us from League Two and will still be on wages closer to the League Two level. But to replace them with proven League One equivalents will mean players who want wages c...

Re: Squad rebuild this summer
Yep Kelly looked useful - height, combined with physical presence & mobility. None of our forwards offer any of that. Sorry but I think Keena is done, I see no reason to keep him at all. Let him go back to a level that suits him (Irish League). Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. Maybe League ...

Been a regular for approx 20 years . I’d say, that was up there with one of the most powder puff performances for such a critical game . Against the lowest side in the league, already relegated . Where to start . Manager doesn’t know his best starting 11. Maybe because players are so inconsistent ....

Question 8, I think the labelling should be different as it doesn't really make sense for some of the responses. It should read as it is for some of them, but also maybe /very likely, /likely, /sometimes, /not likely, never. On that specific question, a ‘when needed’ option would have been good as ...

".....and we have to make sure we put in a performance for the full 90." well take the players out who haven't being performing! I wouldn't mind seeing how big Joe and AK get on starting a match. Would also like to see JT thrown in at the start and see what he is made of when not just a c...

Re: An Idea to raise money
I hadn't commented earlier as I just felt that I would come across as negative - but 10k? Really? That's not 'optimistic' - that's 'pie in the sky'. As the triple DW says, there's, let's say, 500 Trust members and the 500 Club bubbles away at around 500 members, too - but I'd be willing to bet a Ve...

Re: Robins Report Podcast
The answer is easy? So all the refs give up and we don’t have anyone? Well that would be great wouldn’t it? At youth level the local FA I feel tip toe around young refs as they don’t want to lose them, even though some are a PITA! If I had the inclination I would trawl the internet to see if any le...

Re: An Idea to raise money
There’s a Wall of Fame board at the back of block 2 of the Colin Farmer that’s a similar kind of thing. It’s related to the crowdfunder for the scoreboard. https://x.com/robinstrust/status/853930277147742208?s=46&t=vU-XWU8keEQFUirLX0WjYQ Was the same idea not put forward for all ST folk who don...

Re: Robins Report Podcast
At this level? And to the extent some on this board believe it? Pretty much every time we lose, it's "oh, this ref is bent". Conversely, when we win, the ref hardly gets a mention! This government is bent, our national utilities are bent, local councils are bent, big business is bent. To ...

Well they say there are key moments in games and at 0-0 the mercurial George Lloyd misses a sitter. If he's injured again it could be a blessing in disguise. Then Curtis misses the sitter of the season. With Aidan Keena continuing his quest to go into Cheltenham folklore along with Jason White our ...

How can you play over 90 mins of football and not get a shot on target. So poor. Why as someone mentioned play a midfield who were poor on Monday again with having a game next Tuesday, flogging a dead horse comes to mind. Should have left them for Tuesday and started with Harrop, Bonds and either T...

Re: Peterborough - home tickets
Again, I tend to agree RCS. The counter argument is that fostering new support is abstract and difficult to quantify. Hard cash from tickets sales isn't. Just trying to empathise with the club's position. You can imagine the conversation: Board: "Why have we got 500 empty seats in the Colin Fa...
