Re: bottom already

Agree with Shade, Triggo and VickeryC. Putting aside the league position for a second, this looks to be one of our most exciting squads in quite a long time. The likes of Flinders, Dawson, Sellars, Atangana, Morrell, Winchester along with the potential of Eisa, Hinds and Moore should see us push awa...

Re: DONE DEAL - FLINDERS TO CHELTENHAM

I hate being negative and hopefully this will be a good strong signing. That said, is anyone else concerned that he was released by an average National League side having been relegated out of the league with York? Did he then go on to get relegated out of the conference with them too? Not 100% sure...

Wouldn't be massively surprised and its a good point. If Portsmouth were interested in January, they might come in again depending on how their midfield looks these days.

Isn't that the Man City approach RCS? Find ways to sponsor yourself to increase your revenue? I wonder if the scoreboard counted towards income too?

Re: Gary & Paul on BBC Radio Glos

Didn't catch it but I think people were generally more annoyed that we couldn't fill the bench and the squad was crying out for reinforcements that seemed to be left very late to sign. Then the Pell bid hit on the day of the first game after a poor pre season which we went on to lose against the rel...

Always have the option of up to five loans to supplement the squad if we need them. Clubs understandably keen to hold onto them as they work out their squads in the first week or two but towards the end of August, we are likely to see some movement. Liked the look of that Vyner from Bristol City in ...

Re: Prediction League CTFC vs Crawley Town Home 12/8/17

Think this is a difficult one. Hard to read whether Crawley will come and shut the shop or fancy their chances against a side who have already lost to Morecambe.

I will say Cheltenham 2-1 Crawley. Wright the scorer.

Re: League Cup Second Round

Home tie would be nice if its one of the smaller clubs to give us a chance to progress. Otherwise, a premier league team away would do. Swansea away might work well. Probably take a reasonable crowd and they could well play a second string.

Not concerned about the comments online at all. Target men play a different role and league two is very physical so will suit his style. Especially if he works hard. The real question is what do we do with Holman? Hard to believe we are talking about the same player that provided debate about whethe...

Can see why people would want the cash but for me Pell's massive character is more valuable. He will galvanize the dressing room and played a big part in our survival last season. Swindon paid £350k for someone yesterday so the cash can get swallowed up really easily and the new player is no guarant...

Re: Morecambe Predictions (L2).

2-1 Morecambe. We could potentially nick a point if they are as bad as the bookies believe with their off the field problems. It could however mask the problem if we avoid a heavy defeat by the nature that we are playing what many consider to be the relegation favourites this year.

The key point that worries me is that once the window is closed, that is your hands tied until January as we saw last season. I thought the problem was that Dale didn't want it to feel like an away game after they began to get outnumbered by likes of Rovers in the conference. Would have thought the away allocation will still be chopped at the 1000 mark regardless of which stand we are in.

Surprised at the results. Considering that we have had two yellow away kits relatively recently, I was sure it was going to be the black or maybe the blue. Certainly in the opinions I saw online that seemed to be the case. The yellow doesn't look too bad though which surprised me.

Re: The League One club chasing Pell

Agree with the above but also a six figure bid is only likely to be around the £100,000 mark? With two years left on the deal (unless Pelly is pressing to leave which I suspect is unlikely), we should be holding out for much more than that. He seems settled here and I think even though its league on...

Re: Could we see this man back in 2017/18?

I think the worrying aspect for me is that we are gambling on another player making the step up to the football league. At least in Brown, we had a nice steady, experienced keeper for the league which the young defence could feel confident in. There is nothing to stop Flatty being an excellent keepe...

Squad of 20ish is fine if there aren't too many injuries but you start to get in trouble if you get unlucky.

Would want a couple of backup squad players as well as the youngsters now that we can't get emergency loans anymore.

Pompy with a title to play for, our lads relaxed mentally after a massive effort last week, a big wide pitch and our narrow diamond in full glory. Quarter back Rowe spraying balls around with Cranners trying some crunching tackles to earn himself a new deal......
