I think he would have been offered a deal if Gary had faith he could play 40 games a season. Top player, but we cannot be carrying any passengers. The whole squad need to be fit and ready to serve.

Aren't we lower league or am I missing something?Robin wrote:About his level I would guess, decent lower league player if he can stay fit.
I rated him, just a couldn't stay fit however I don't think certain pitches helped & his lack of game time when fit didn't help with consistency.
No, not always, but the point is that he did. We don't have many like that, I'm afraid. Players like him are the difference between a workmanlike League 2 side, and one that gets the pulses racing, especially at home. There always seem plenty on here who want to entertained. Then when the entertainers are moved on.......

The disproportionate amount of coverage it gets on BBC TV. And players like Marley Watkins.everyman wrote:What gives you the knowledge to judge the level of the Scottish Premiership,a typical arrogant English attitude.Robin wrote:About his level I would guess, decent lower league player if he can stay fit.

About right.asl wrote:I think he's saying the national team are Championship quality at best.
The disproportionate coverage Scottish Football gets compared to EFL, Wales and Northern Ireland makes some people think it is better than it is.
Just because BBC final score announce updates from Scottish L2 and not the Conference, doesn't mean Stirling or Elgin are better than Tranmere.
