Scottish football Conference standard at best.Red Duke wrote:It was the great Scottish striker, A Trialist who has scored many goals over the years.
Indeed, I am sure Rapid Vienna, rosenburg, Villareal, spartak Moscow, Red Bull and Leipzig. Will take comfort from your observationsRegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote:Scottish football Conference standard at best.Red Duke wrote:It was the great Scottish striker, A Trialist who has scored many goals over the years.
Neither played regularly in the Premier League.Robin wrote:Nicky Maynard or Jay Emmanuel-Thomas perhaps? I do feel we need a decent striker up there as Sam Jones appears to be a flop (contrary to my own expectations).
What about Gabby Agbonlahor - still without a club since his release from Villa.

Just a long-running Nest joke like pork scrathings, transfer news early next week, and McCoulskey’s goal scoring record since signing.everyman wrote:You really make yourself appear to be an ignorant bigot !RegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote:Scottish football Conference standard at best.Red Duke wrote:It was the great Scottish striker, A Trialist who has scored many goals over the years.
If it is Paterson I thought I would look up his playing record. Scores a goal about every four games, but in fairness to him that has been at a higher level than League 2. But one word kept leaping out every season, "injury". So given the wages he would likely command, is it like all signings, a risk,or a big risk ?

Lol Paterson was paper / agent talk. Wasn’t it Downing who said wanted him? Same situation as Hooper.

Let's hope not.SHANDY VOR wrote:Jon Parkin
In fact, he has never played in the EPL. (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Parki ... statistics" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). Which is a huge relief.
There simply cannot be that many free agents who have played regularly in the EPL and Championship. I'd go with Martin Paterson.

Could this potential robin be another bird-Eagles ?Nesty wrote:ex Premiership striker

Most likely a non-leaguer or higher club cast-off, so an unknown face even if spotted.Artemis wrote:Could be either.....does nobody have any intel from the training ground?
"played regularly in the Premier League and Championship"...I think someone with a bit of knowledge should be able to spot who it is.RegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote:Most likely a non-leaguer or higher club cast-off, so an unknown face even if spotted.Artemis wrote:Could be either.....does nobody have any intel from the training ground?
He played at Stoke in the Premiership I am almost certain.Shade wrote:I'm fairly sure Parkin never played regularly in the Premier League, so we can rest easy.
As for Paterson we bid £100,000 I thought and he came down and Wardie showed him around, this was around the time Odejayi was sold.
