Thing is they are starting from a low base, with few players signed up, and what they were left with were (I suspect lowly paid) youngsters. So they have to build a new team.

How do we fit into this claim?
"Most of these clubs, even small ones, are operating on million-pound plus losses which are either being propped up by the owner, a cup run or a player sale. A lot of clubs go into the start of the season knowing they are going to lose a million-pound plus."

Surely this is what is wrong with the game.
If clubs expect to loose money and then come unstuck they should be required to pay all their debts off before being allowed to kick another football
You cannot assume to run up debts and walk away scott free so why should a club
Sure if you have money in the bank or an inheritance coming then thats fine but when you run out of money its tough titty and so it should for a football club
To budget to make a loss must carry responsibilities.
It is also in my eyes cheating clubs like ours who play the game
The sooner the FA make directors responsible and punish clubs in their league status the sooner this game will get put to rights

To a smaller extent we are propped up by those things. Just the right way round. Our budget has increased due to cup runs and the benefactors money, we just got the money in first before spending it!mattyboi wrote:Simple, We dont!!!RegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote:How do we fit into this claim?
