I'll be giving Oxford away a miss this year but I'm looking forward to visiting Fratton Park. Wouldn't mind us doing the double over Bristol Rovers and Portsmouth.

Nice to see that there are not too many midweek fixtures, just Morecambe and Bristol Rovers this year.

Think the fixtures have been very kind to us this year.
Of course it was inevitable we had to travel to Morcambe on a Tuesday in January, however the festive period has gone in our favour so hopefully we will have some bumper crowds to boost our January transfer budget.
Home on both the opening day and the last day of the season.

Personally the first team I looked for home and away was Pompey as I have mates down there from when I lived there.
Thankfully both legs are on Saturdays so a good knees up will be had :D

Just need Yatesy to get that title winning squad together now.

On paper, it looks like quite a strong league, I think.

So which month will be the one that does for us this season? Looking at it by calendar months there isn't one that sticks out as all extra tough games, like the last two seasons.

Oxford away is a pain with it's bloody car park, would much rather spend the money on going somewhere different this year which is less hassle than Oxford.

The fixture list surely has an error - Torquay away on a SATURDAY?

I noticed that we play on a Tuesday night in the league only twice before Christmas where as last season we played 6 times and i am sure we suffered gate-wise because it did clash alot with Champions League matches.

We need to improve when we dont kick off at 3pm our form midweek is useless

FAO Taxidave I find your train fare info threads very useful please continue

overall the 4 leagues there dont seem to be many midweek games or very long midweek trips!!

Season starts earlier and I think the FL have listened to the clubs and tried to avoid midweek games where possible, which generally mean lower crowds and clashes with TV games.

Annoyingly the one home game I was looking forward to (Pompey at home) happens to fall on the day of my Stag Do in Cardiff.

Other than that, the rest of the fixtures fall brilliantly.

Since when does that make a difference to League 2 games?

Pompey may still have a few and quite often clubs move games to allow supporters to watch both games.

England's game is on the Friday night so no chance of ours getting moved.

bearing in mind there are no PL or Championship games that weekend so it COULD get moved for Sky as Pompey could easily be this seasons Sky favourites as their first away game at Accy is on Sky.
