That's the other Rooney - Adam not Luke.

Yes that sounds like a good squad.

That article may be about Adam Rooney, but I would be VERY surprised if Luke Rooney signs for us.
He, unlike his club, is in no rush to leave.
He doesn't seem interested in moving on and wouldn't instead rather sit on the bench, or in the stand waiting to be given another chance.

Cannot see him coming to us.

I'd like to think we're looking at other left midfielders other than Rooney, don't want to put all our eggs in one basket

I don't want Rooney to sign - will devalue the Torquay programme when he was listed in our squad on the back cover despite never being a CTFC player!

Gornell is a hold up player/target man apparently, so he'd be a good foil for Cureton. He has a better record than Harrison and I actually think he may be a first choice rather than a "making up the numbers" player. The number 10 shirt certainly suggests that.

Yes I see Gornell and Cureton as the front two with Harrison used late or starting away from home.

Terry Gornell is a talented player with clever movement and he is a decent finisher.

After an excellent season with us, when he was regularly scouted by much bigger clubs, he lost his way in League 1 after a run of goal less games when he was often unlucky not to score. This appeared to affect his confidence badly and he really went off the boil and was eventually transferred to Rochdale. I'm surprised at how badly it appeared to go for him up there, but be assured you've made a decent signing here.
