It will be a shame if it's under 3000 for an opening day fixture but sadly I can't disagree. I'll also predict the same team as you but McGlashan in for Deering.

2-0 Cheltenham (Elliott/Cureton)
Crowd: 2863 (212 from Staffs).

If deering isnt starting after a really good pre season then i dont think he will ever get a chance.

I don't think Vincent will start as he hasn't had a full pre-season.
Agree about the crowd and I am sure the usual comments will be made regarding the reasons why....it's summer holidays......people haven't got much money.......parents are saving for school uniforms etc etc.

I think MY showed most of his hand on Saturday. I can't see Jones playing and i expect CBB to start at LB. The only other decision for me is if Vincent plays. Not done much in pre-season so far.

If we can deal with Delap/Howe who are quite powerful forwards in terms of size and strength then I'd like to think we should probably win this match.

As for line-ups, what has been posted seems likely.

I can't run it this year I'm afraid. theidlerich was backing me up last year...?

As for Saturday, I think MY will spring at least 1 surprise.

As above, maybe MY will put Lowe in over sido, he plays Lowe when they have big lumps up top. Northampton and Torquay last year come to mind.

I'll ponder that one - if I do it, it would be a simpler one I'm afraid. Missing the first game too - daughters wedding - [well it was 50/50 Home or away].

Tell me about it. I booked to go to the Italian Grand Prix months ago, way before the fixtures were announced. 50/50 of missing a home game, I thought, so not too bad. Then my best mate booked his wedding for the very next weekend. The upshot? I'm missing two of the biggest home games of the season, Oxford and Portsmouth, and the 3 weeks either side of those dates we're playing away. FML  :(

Burton are without Howe, Bell and Diamond - so probably no better time to be playing them.

That side is naturally very narrow. We would be tough to beat but don't we want to stretch Burton and get balls into the box from the wings? Taylor could be better used at places like chesterfield.

Depends if they believe Mark Yates when he tells them the line-up........

Oops. Drop Harrison.
