256,000 living IN Plymouth, 110,000 living IN Cheltenham - and as we all know, 15 years ago we were a non-league club and Plymouth have been a league club for decades. Back in the '50's they were getting 20,000 to games. They recently spent 6 seasons in the 2nd tier.
Plus we have a load of Premiership teams just about an hour up the road whereas Plymouth have nobody of their size near them, really.
We can't compare the two by population alone - although we do have less than half living here.

I know you added Gloucester into ours, but I'm sure not all Plymouth fans at their games are actually living in Plymouth, the same as I'm sure there are non-league teams not far away from them, like we have with the Tiggers. That's a bit garbled, but I know what I mean :P

Despite all 3 Devon Clubs being in the same league Argyle will always be bigger and have fans everywhere. I used to support them.

Was two Argyle fans in my year at secondary school. I quite wanted them to get in the Prem when they were doing well in The Championship a few years ago.

Talking of innocent Plymouth fans, I notice one of your number was escorted out of the ground after the melee that followed the first goal. He looked very much like he was pushed over the barrier by the crowd that surged forward, rather than any deliberate one-man pitch invasion.

McGlashan had a few words with the crowd to the right of the goal (the Plymouth fan's right) near the end when he almost got shoved in chasing after a ball. The stewards stayed on their arses so it couldn't have been much, but Jermain didn't look happy about it.

Agree, it looked like it was weight of numbers that forced him over the barrier. Either that or he should NEVER attempt the hurdles.
