I heard a rumour tonight that we've appointed a FOD to be announced in the next few days, someone from Yeovil.

Isnt that meant to be DOF not FOD if it is the case perhaps that could be a good thing Yates needs a little help.Perhaps this person could get us back on track and its someone that Yates can bounce new ideas of.

You may recall that I suggested a director of football about a week ago
I would much rather spend the money on another player
It perhaps give a bit of assurance if management walk but it can also be interference

Personally I am against Directors of football at this level
The manager needs to be able to meet the transfer targets and convince them
Sure PB cannot do it all but I still think it is nothing more than a rumour at this stage
Funny nobody mentioned it yesterday in JPs webchat

That would be madness. Yates' strength is his signings!

What would be their responsibilities? Hopefully not signings as Yates is strong there, we need a coach to organise the team in my opinion.

I heard someone from Gillingham. Family connections with the club.

If SC was there then I'd want him doing the motivating.

Thats not the job of a DOF.

DOF deals with off the field issues: transfers e.t.c.

Exactly the one thing nobody can deny is Yates can spot a player but he in my view he struggles to mould a team into a well oiled unit.
