From where I was sat, the ball squirmed thru his legs and by the time he spun round, it had already been played, so not to sure he knew how it had ended up where it did ?
The trouble was that if he had just picked the ball up straight away whilst it was at feet - it would have been ok - it was just the fact that it was then tapped back towards him as he went to pick it up.

It was as clear a backpass as you would ever want to see. What was pedantic about it???Malabus wrote:A pedantic decision from the main official.

Yes it was a forward pass but it does not make any difference, the laws state it has to be a deliberate pass, no mention of which direction it is played.confused.com wrote:hate to be pedantic, but was it not a forward pass ????Powelly131 wrote:It was as clear a backpass as you would ever want to see. It is entirely relevant - it is a comparison with a pivotal moment in yesterday's game. Stop being so ridiculous.

But there was nothing "off topic" it was all about a pass by a defender to the goalkeeper in separate games and how both incidents were dealt with differently by the 2 refs.Ralph wrote:taxidave wrote:I bet you are feeling really pleased with your self now aren't you.
