Bury will have started the season with lower expetations than ourselves but hard to imagine what more he could have done there given the circumstances.

So Bury lose 2-0 at home to Morcambe and the manager gets the sack, I wonder if history will repeat itself.

I was impressed with Bury's squad to start the season, but things haven't gone well there at all.

Bury's last league win was in August when they beat us. We made them look world beaters that afternoon and I came away thinking Bury were dark horses for play offs. Both teams have moved in opposite directions performance wise since then.

I gather the club is still dogged by its debt and a real challenge for anyone coming in to manage on their budget - good luck.

They are working with a whole new squad which will take time to bed in and don't have a great deal of quality from my perspective anything other than a dog fight would be success as I said during the summer.

Bury started the season with an unreasonably high budget and high local expectations.
I believe that by lowering season ticket prices, they have increased ticket sold figures, but this may not be reflected in true attendances, which means the knock on additional income from food, drink, programmes, etc. will not be there.

Feel sorry for Blackwell - after all the broken promises of last season, plus the horrendous debt that the board seemed to forget to tell him about when he was appointed as manager. Trying to bed in over 20 players was always going to take time and until then, they were always going to be inconsistent. Why sack him so soon? He's had a nightmare job there so far - who else would want the job?

All they have to do though is avoid giving MA the job - Bury don't deserve that - I wouldn't wish him on any club!!

I think I predicted this with Blackwell in charge. Useless manager. I expect a new manager to come in and make them a better outfit with the players there, with or without debts.

Why the hell would Clough go there, when people thought he wouldn't come here?

I just think that League 2 is his level.

He is going to Sheff Utd apparently. Blackwell is surely finished as a manager. Every club he has been at has ended in administration or financial diificulity

Not Blackwell's fault, surely? And not a record that stopped Barry Fry getting jobs.

Fair enough. I thought that he probably underachieved and stayed in the job a lot longer than somebody not named "Clough" would have done.

Bury have signed Danny Hylton on loan from Rotherham.

Blatant wum and and only an imbecile would assume he was an accurate representative of the mainstream view of Bury fans.

Blackwell is a nasty money chasing manager. The fact his teams always end jn trouble is because teams who deliberately want to play dirty and overspr before busting like to get dodgy men like Blackwell in.
