All the good work last week undone I guess. I can see this being a recurring theme this season.

The clock must be well and truly ticking by now.

I can't even motivate myself to complain. It's just the same old....and I'm not going to watch a whole season of it at £20+ a pop.
either he goes or I go. Thats it for me, also sick and tired of these fecking officials. unless Baker acts soon this club will be back in non-league - Yates has clearly lost the dressing room, some of the performances over the last 35 minutes were shocking. We tried to sit back on a 1-0 lead and paid the price.

Trying to hold out, if that happened, has proven to be a failed tactic for years. Home draws cost us last season and it is worrying Yates still persisted with with that today.

What must the lads on the bench think when a manager would rather watch a tired team lose a match than make changes to try and secure victory. I cannot defend Yates today purely due the lack of substitutions.

For me :
1 Rochdale looked a good side - plenty of crosses into box first half, good passing and movement - think the rain actually badly affected their game
2 I have to say I thought Keith Hill was nuts putting on 3 subs with over 20 mins to go ; proved a masterstroke
3 Russ Penn had a shocker - not just the miss, but consistent poor passing
4 I didn't think CBB played too bad - he could work on a decent final ball, but he pushed up well
5 Harrison and Cureton largely anonymous
6 Yates' failure not to change things was inexcusable. Gornell holds the ball up as well as anyone, Noble could have come on for Penn ; many other alternatives, to do nothing was shocking judgement
I still cannot have "next two games decide manager's future" , but Yates deserved the boos and if he was surprised by that (I cannot tell from where I am ) then it shows how badly he misread this game

If Penn was out wide then it's Yates who had the shocker, not Russ.
What that game needed was a goal in the first half. But you can't score if you don't hit the target and I don't recall a sinle effort that either keeper had to save.R_Payney wrote:What's most disappointing is that Rochdale were absolute sh!te.
Dale didn't play well at all until the substitutions - that changed everything.
Cheltenham fans will no doublt have thei own views about how much better Cheltenham played.
