Book
Duff
Banks
Freeman
Victory
Norton
Howells
Bloomer
Milton
Yates
Eaton
Grayson
Watkins
Walker (Clive)
Knight
Smith

Manager SC.

All of the above were part time when we won the conference, but pick any 11 of those and I honestly believe they would thrash (yes thrash) any 11 you want to select from the present squad, even though they only trained two nights a week. Says it all for me really.

That team is no where near comparable for ability. Freeman, Knight, Smith, Eaton were never league standard for starters.

Eaton was very much League standard. It was Watkins who very quickly came unstuck on promotion. I'd love to have seen Eaton in our first Football League season.

Boka was also a lot better than you're giving him credit for.

Totally disagree Si, Eaton had no pace at all, he had a superb first season back in the conference but his lack of pace and powder puff physique were soon found out.

Boka and Banksy, what a pairing that was. Makes my mouth water. If they got past Banks then Boka was waiting.

I don't think we'd concede many, that's for sure. Agreed that Grayson's partner might be tricky and I think the old boy's midfield would struggle, technically.

Keith Knight made over 40 appearances for Reading, not bad for someone you consider was never league standard.

Cureton and Grayson would be a nice partnership.
