*apologies if this post has already been made, I can't remember seeing it here before*

---------Brown---------
----Lowe-Elliott-Troy---
Sido----------------CBB
------Penn-Richards-----
---Deering/Gornell/McG---
------Byron-Cureton-----

Perfect for Sido and CBB imo. 3 solid centre backs. Hardworking midfield with any of the trio in the hole behind 2 strikers.

I really don't think MY going to be that experimental with his job in some 'moderate' threat.

Ah, I know. I wasn't suggesting we used it Mal. Was trying to gauge what people thought!

Do our players have enough about them to pull off this system - I doubt it, especially not this season - Bet it's never crossed Yates' mind.

If we did play this formation, I would make just a couple of changes - put Deering in the centre in place of Gornell and put Kowitca on the wing.

A dream formation.....or the stuff of nightmares as every match would prob finish 4-5, 5-4, 3-6, 6-3 etc!!

I think we will go for the usual 9 man team with no left side at all

Well done jebolani, nice line up.This could well work, its got strength & balance.Lets hope Yatesy reads this forum, because he's got no idea what to do with it himself.Do his assistants have any ideas,do they make them known?I think its time for a fresh look at the whole set up,its way past stale.

I'm not saying we SHOULD use it, it's just an evolving formation. It's risky but it could be class away from home.

Whatever formation Yates decides to select,i would like him to send the team out to be positive and to press for 90mins.Not to sit on a lead for the last 20.
