Does anyone know the answer.
I remember the Darlington game when there was a fuel strike was particularly low, and Rochdale at home last year, but does anybody have the answer?
What is our lowest Football League Attendance?

Good shout:Robin wrote:I believe it was against Morecambe during the Yates regime, about 1900 or so. The Darlo attendence was around 2300 which at the time was very low as we regularly had crowds above 3500.
21 November 2009, CTFC vs Morecambe.
Attendance: 1,567

That Morecambe match above was an away game - our last ever visit to Christie Park.
The lowest crowd for a League game at home since we got into the Football League is 2,035 vs Morecambe on 16th August 2011
The lowest crowd for any match since we got into the Football League was during our first season as a Football League club - 896 for the Conference Championship Shield match against Kingstonian on October 5th 1999.

That was 2,292. Another really low one was Southend United when we offered half-price admission - 2,226

Based on the crowd for that half-price Southend match - the footy fans of Cheltenham aren't easily swayed out of their armchairs are they?!?
I can remember my anger when we didn't even sell-out when Forest came to WR (on both occasions I believe) - How was that NOT possible?!?
Might scrap 2,500 tonight, then again, Champions League on the TV, so more like 2,000 then.

Fair enough CV - most of us on here are regular fans and we take an interest in their local club. I was having a general pop at the "armchair" footy fans who say they "support" their Prem team from the House / Pub, yet some of them prob live a stone's throw away from the ground and still can't be bothered.

Was that the re-arranged game? That was a body blow to our promotion run after missing out on the original three points.PaulGodfrey wrote:That was 2,292. Another really low one was Southend United when we offered half-price admission - 2,226
