Don't think it will a pretty match, I'll take a draw thanks. At least Akinfenwa ain't playing for them, that's 1 certain goal chalked off for the Cobblers. Reckon on a 2-2 draw, with some dodgy defending on both sides giving us some entertainment - both clubs are down the bottom for a good reason after all. Carter will prob set up 1 of their goals.

I can see Carter being up for this after the way he was frozen out last season and not offered a contract. I also feel it will end in a draw but that said we should have enough to beat them!

Good riddance to Carter, well overrated and during some of the lean spells last season he was extremely poor. Deserved to be left out of the side. Won't get a good reception from me tomorrow.

If only Carter was as good as he thought he was, failed on most occasions to match the standards of our midfield and seemed more interested in his former club Birmingham than us.

As for Akinfenwa, over-rated to no end. Wouldn't make any difference if he was still playing for Northampton, I'd have full faith in Troy and Keith to handle a player his size.

We will win tomorrow as we are a much better side than Northampton.

Who was the last former player to score against us and win? Not including loanees as there are millions of them.

Joey - How many times has Akinfenwa scored against us - whether playing for Northampton, Torquay or Gillingham? I've lost count myself.

The guy has the midas touch against us - He would've been odds on to score tomorrow - prob from a free header as usual.

It's a huge bonus for us that he ain't playing tomorrow.

Akinfenwa didn't score in either play-off semi - the curse is broken.

I don't think Carter was that bad, don't forget he didn't play a single game season before last.

Yes, he's a decent player but the way some people talk about him and the amount of press he gets, you'd think he's one of the best strikers in the football league.

His strike record is OK - 0.34 per match in league matches, but it's physical statue that causes teams (especially us) problems. The ball just seems to magnetically find him in the area, then he just bounces our defenders out the way and bang - a goal is scored!!

Maybe after the play-off matches we have finally learned how to deal with him - I'll wait and see coz I reckon we'll be facing him again next season

34 goals in 100 appearances (to put into perspective) is pretty poor to be honest, but his game extends far beyond goals.

That's not magnetism, its gravity caused by his huge bulk :D

Nobby played well except being mainly responsible for their goal
Carter faded after 20
