Great I will contact my usual B&B
I just cant wait to battle through ice ,rain, snow fog and traffic to watch the Robins
If it all goes tits up I can spend Sunday on the beach
I know the players will be relieved like me as they will not have to go shopping with the missus
So being knocked out of the FA cup has a silver lining

Location: Crewe station buffet, wish I'd stayed there!
Can anyone please recall the name of the pub/hotel that was near the old ground and had accommodation, was it the York, because I wouldn't mind spending a few days up there. ??

We do get some luxurious fixtures.

This one Dave.

I was looking at some hotels on http://www.booking.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and they were at least 50% cheaper on there than your link could offer. :!:
£180.00 for 3 nights on tripadvisor against £90.00 on booking.com
I presume that Morecambe is struggling for visitors as most reviews say the town is very run down.

When I went up to Morecambe last season it definitely struck me as struggling for tourism to be honest.

So can I presume that a cheap hotel does not necessarily mean a poor hotel, the prices do seem to be on a par with Blackpool, maybe it is just cheap up there.

I would say so Dave, didn't look a terrible place just quiet and in need of more tourism.

I suppose they will get an economic boost when we take a few hundred fans up there on Dec 7th.
I may well stay for a couple on nights.

I went two or three seasons ago - felt a bit like Skegness, Whitley Bay, Whistable and any seaside place. Nice enough, decent hotels, just don't go in the wrong pub or down the wrong street.

The Eric Morecambe statue is interesting for any fans of his.

I like the stadium set-up.

Cracking view from Morecambe of the Lake District peaks.

If anyone wants a medium 3 mile or so walk, you can go on the Way of The Roses path to/from Lancaster. Lancaster and Morecambe is more of an extreme contrast than Cheltenham and Gloucester.
