I have seen several clubs developing a structure that may be of interest
A player falls into one of 3 groups
1 senior ( should be in 1st team every game)
2 regular ( should expect to play 25-35 games per season)
3 development ( should expect to play in 5- 10 games per season )
The aim is to have 8 players in each group so group 1 costs cost £15k/ wek
group 2 £ 8K/wk
group 3 £ 5K/wk
total £ 28k/ wk
If we applied this sort of structure to CTFC
group1 S Brown T Brown Elliot Sido Penn Richards McGlashan Cureton Gornell Harrison 10 players and of course Noble (loan)
group 2 Deering CBB ( 2 players) [ Lowe and Jones gone ]
group 3 Kotwica Roberts Hanks Williams (4 players)
We seem to be heavy on 1st team certs and light on players trying to get into the team.
Is there enough competition at CTFC
Make up of squad

Very interesting theory. I like it.
Cureton, Gornell and Harrison get rotated, so should they not be regulars rather than "in the 1st team every game"? I don't really buy that strikers at this level should ever be in the team every game even if they are senior as it's all to do with whether they're scoring.
