Decent league two striker in my view, surprised he couldn't start for Bury let alone need to drop to that level.

surely this tells you something

MY didnt play him for most of the second half of last season, he couldnt get into the bury side. Hes gone back and still cant get into an average lge 2 side
He has to drop to non league to get a club
Now I know there are lots of factors involved in this but we now see 3 league 2 managers who saw him day in and day out not fond a place for him.

He appears to be a decent lge 2 striker but it hasnt happened for him for the best part of 3 seasons, but of course its all MYs fault
I wonder what the real story is

Good point 51/84, the fact he has been released by one of hte relegation favourites speaks volumes.

That Bury are in huge financial problems and have to off load big earners that are not contributing.

so in 3 seasons the only ones who played him was us for about 10 games then he dropped off the radar
He might be a bigger earner but if he was banging in goals someone would have picked him up.
So he goes to a BSP and perhaps that will kick start his career again, but he will have a big wedge in his back pocket

I agree that it looked strange that he was here and didnt play in the 2nd half of last season but there must have been a reason unless all the conspiracy theories are the actual reason

Play me and I will score against Hereford. He did, twice. Won't forget the part he played at the Shed.

Is he suffering this season from getting no game time last season?

Whenever Whaddon Road name is changed to the Avenue Of Heroes he should have his statue next to Martin Allen.

Agree with you 51 / 84. There was a lot of moaning about Yatesy with leaving Harrad / Duffy Goulding etc on the bench but if you look at current destinations of Alfreton, Goa and released by Chelmsford the demand on departure was obviously not very high!!

Wish Shaun Harrad the best of luck, not managed properly here.

He had a purple patch for Burton, but he still got less than 1 in 3 for them in total. Apart from that he's not set the world alight in league football. 8 in 31 for us, 2 in 39 for Bury, 3 in 8 for Rotherham and 6 in 18 for Northampton. Suggests he starts well (as he did with us) but goes off the boil.

2 years? Try 9 months.

At this level once dropped by a team and off the radar it's extremely hard to get a club.

Good feature here fron two players out of contract at Christmas:

Harrad is a good footballer, trouble is he has neither height nor pace, so likely won't be fancied by a lot of managers at this level. As CTFC03 has suggested managed correctly he should produce. Good luck to him...

and I will say again 4 managers in 2+ yrs and hes not done the business. They cant all be wrong.
I forgot one of them must be Yates so that doesnt count

Ultimately you are correct.

Anyone else willing to question the validity of 4 managers in 2 years (1 in 1 at Cheltenham)? Leaving, 3 in 1 elsewhere. Enough time to efficiently assess the abilities of a player? or even to alter the style of play, within the team?

As has been stated, given the correct manager Harrad will be a success.

Yes I do. Lee Hughes is in the conference...... Nothing to do with lack of ability..... More to do with money me thinks

horteng Lee Hughes is at the end of his career so will take what ever he can. To be honest anyone would
Harrard however should not be at the end of his career.
If 4 mangers cannot get the best out of him then where does the problem lie
Sure the correct management COULD get the best out of him but surely Harrard must have some responsibility to him selfin proving that he should be selected every week. It cannot be coincidence that mangers and teams have not got the best out of him. It may simply be a value for money situation where he is the scapegoat but perhaps some of the criticism of MYs management of him may have had other complications, that you or I were not aware off
