Surprised as York haven't been battered like us.

Jon Palmer now tweeting 6 mins later no pitch inspection as "fine". Someone somewhere needs to get a grip of their communications OR a lot of improvement has happened 6 mins. Poor stuff.

York had planned a pitch inspection originally but due to improved weather decided that it was no longer necessary. They were, rightly, being extra cautious given the distance our supporters have to travel. Unfortunately the message informing us that the pitch inspection was no longer needed didn't reach us in time to prevent the original tweet.

Although with tonight's rain band scheduled to effect the North, as well as the South- it may have been wise to keep the inspection.
