"Glimpses in last few games".........of what? There wasn't much to encourage hope in the Northants game.....(nor in any of last few home performances!)
I cannot believe that MY can be anywhere near contented with the dross being delivered! He said himself recently that he wouldn't have wanted to pay to watch the game and they have all been like that of late. What he actually should be saying is, "Most of our football this season has been absolutely awful! We have failed to entertain! The defence has been dire! The midfield has been lacking in any sort of creativity! The forwards have had no service and when chances have come they have not been good enough to convert them!"
As being discussed elsewhere Burton first half was last memorable home performance in league! How can the manager be happy with that? The quality is not there.
"We will go there and work hard" he says! Why not, "We will go there and play football" or "We will go there to entertain, score goals"?
It beggars belief!
