So I did a bit of research and found out the number of points required to finish in 12th position from previous seasons:

12/13 - 61 Points
11/12 - 59 Points
10/11 - 63 Points
9/10 - 63 Points
8/9 - 62 Points
7/8 - 60 Points
6/7 - 62 Points

How many points do you reckon will be needed to come 12th this season and do you think you can get that many points from your remaining games?

We have been panicking as to whether we can muster 51 points and avoid relegation so I think your hope of over 60 is totally out of the question.

I found this interesting via the football forum league 2 thread -

http://stats.football365.co.uk/dom/ENG/D3/runin.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

On current form it has us hitting 56.3 points but overall season form projects us at 57.6.
I just want to see this season out as I've now accepted Yates will be the manager no matter what so I'm interested in seeing who is on his player recruitment radar.
Fingers crossed the time next year we're talking about a L2 title tilt

Probably best to take it a game at a time then and see what happens! :)

The season form based points is why I am yet to concerned about relegation. The panicky ones seem to think you need 51 points in March. Most know that it's May that counts.

Okay....so would you guys be so kind as to beat Rochdale and Dag n Red and as a result, more than likely finish in the top half so I can win my bet?! :p

Thanks! :)

(P.S I'm hoping Cureton and Harrison play well again and give Rochdale something to think about!) :)

I expect us to lose Saturday and win against Daggers meaning 58 points and perhaps a 14th place finish.

I have hope though as you've been playing so well away from home recently! Hey, if Sunderland can go to Chelsea and win then who know eh?! After all, the pressure is on Rochdale to keep winning to stay in the top 3....I think you'll counter them and Cureton has started to click into gear!

Daggers are in 11th position so if you get a point at Rochdale...it can still be on!

Also from the sounds of things, if Noble plays well then the whole team does and visa versa?!

Yep Noble is the heartbeat but also our highest earner and out injured too often so don't expect too much.
