Summerfield will be a Cheltenham Town player and will be training at Seasons on Tuesday next week.

Based my comment on Gallers' tweet shown above - looks obvious

Gallers has a new Personal Training business starting though so it sort of makes sense that Summers may be doing some work with him if he is a mate......
Not saying he won't come here mind you!

Maybe keep tabs on him. If he has a good season but the gas don't come up he might be one to tap up for next summer.

Chris Errington journalist for the Plymouth herald has tweeted that you're after Neal Trotman
Yep we are after a centre half.

JP missed that out in his article (see other thread)
Of course JP will miss it out he doesn't want to risk his info by portraying the club in a negative light. The only time he has ever done that was during the Allen reign and I suspect then people within the club were not sorry to see those articles published.

Finally someone else recognises the agenda the Echo ran which is so often denied.Robin wrote:Of course JP will miss it out he doesn't want to risk his info by portraying the club in a negative light. Not all those stories on MA were done by JP though, certain incidents involving nightclubs were picked up by the Echo news team if I remember correctly.Robin wrote:Of course JP will miss it out he doesn't want to risk his info by portraying the club in a negative light. Great another player that couldn't hold down a place in the team last season we seem to be going for everyone else's rejects

True he didn't get a look in at Bury under either of their managers which is something to be wary about but he's had a decent strike rate for Rochdale and Lincoln before that. 17 for Lincoln in 2010-11, and 11 for Rochdale in the next two seasons, one of which was in League 1.

Grimes' sat nav is broken when it gets to the Midlands - it just tells him to turn around back to the North!
RCS - Are you saying that MA was unfairly treated and that you wished he stayed longer in the job?

I wasn't commenting on whether he should have stay longer in the job - his leaving was probably a good thing and should have happened sooner even if we will never for sure how we would have performed had he stayed.CheltRobin wrote:Grimes' sat nav is broken when it gets to the Midlands - it just tells him to turn around back to the North!

Regardless of whether he needed to be sacked or not I was purely commenting on the Echo, not Allen ir football related issues.
I have made my feelings clear on the Echo reporting (or in at least one instance 'making up') enough times and it would be better for everyone if you didn't engage me in conversation about it. Leave it at that.
I don't get any of the dislike towards him for turning us down for bury.
If I was leaving cheltenham for a job in bury tommorow and then I got offered the same wage (or more) in tewks there's no way I would move my family 120 miles when I simply didn't need to!.

I think it was the way he did it, rather than the move itself. In your example, your boss in Bury would be pretty peeved with you if you turned the other way on the motorway after a successful interview.

Didn't he then slag off Cheltenham once at Bury a la Boulding?

Apart from a 3 yr spell at Millwall, Grimes has played his career in the North, so cant see him coming this way anyway - hes a Northern lad through and through.

No he didn't slag off Cheltenham. He even indicated to Yates that he wished he'd came here instead of joining them.RegencyCheltenhamSpa wrote:Didn't he then slag off Cheltenham once at Bury a la Boulding?
